Democrat Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib was rebuked by Congressman Elijah Cummings (D-Md) after she suggested that Republican Congressman Mark Meadows is a “racist” while she dismissed a black woman as a “prop.”
The drama unfolded February 27 during Michael Cohen’s congressional testimony before the House Oversight Committee.
Tlaib suggested that Meadows had invited longtime Trump family friend and employee, Lynne Patton (who’s black), to Cohen’s hearing as a “prop” to refute Cohen’s claims that President Trump is a racist.
‘It Doesn’t Take 15 Years to Call Someone a Racist’
Patton — who’s now a HUD official — tweeted a photo of herself with her former friend, Michael Cohen, before his hearing.
Patton tweeted: “I am here in support of POTUS and in support of the truth, as Michael Cohen (knows that I know) it to be. And the truth is that it doesn’t take you 15 years to call someone a racist. Unless they’re not one.”
I am honored to be the special guest of @RepMarkMeadows today. I am here in support of @POTUS and in support of the truth, as Michael Cohen (knows that I know) it to be. And the truth is that it doesn’t take you 15 years to call someone a racist. Unless they’re not one. pic.twitter.com/jPxeYTbTYT

Rashida Tlaib, a Muslim who constantly plays the race card, dismissed Lynne Patton — a HUD administrator — as a black “prop:”
“Just because someone has a person of color, a black person working for them, does not mean they aren’t racist. The fact that someone would actually use a prop — a black woman in this chamber, in this committee — is alone racist in itself.”
Calling a Black Woman a ‘Prop’ Is Racist
Congressman Mark Meadows fired back, saying dismissing Patton — who’s an administrator with the Department of Housing and Urban Development — as a “prop” is racist. He also wanted Rashida Tlaib to clarify that she’s not calling him a racist with her rant:
“My nieces and nephews are people of color. Not many people know that.
To indicate that I asked someone who is a personal friend of the Trump family, who has worked for him, who knows [Cohen], that she’s coming in to be a prop. It’s racist to suggest that I asked her to come in here for that reason.
She came in because she felt like the president of the United States was getting falsely accused. Mr. Chairman, you and I have a personal relationship that’s not based on color. And to even go down this [race-baiting] direction is wrong.”
Elijah Cummings Rebukes Rashida Tlaib
Democrat Elijah Cummings, who’s the chairman of the House Oversight Committee, asked Rashida Tlaib to “rephrase” her remarks.
“I want to make sure I understand, you were not intending to call Mr. Meadows a racist, is that right?” Cummings asked.
After being scolded, Tlaib walked back her race-baiting comments:
“No, Mr. Chairman, I did not call Mr. Meadows a racist. I am trying as a person of color just to express myself. So just for the record, that was my intention.”
Cummings: Mark Meadows Is My Best Friend
Congressman Elijah Cummings thanked Meadows for his comments and noted that the two are best friends (which would make Mark Meadows a failed racist).
Cummings added that “he has gotten in trouble” from fellow leftists for daring to have a white best friend.
“I’ve said it — and gotten in trouble for it — but you are one of my best friends. I could see and feel your pain. I feel it.
I don’t think Ms. Tlaib intended to cause you that kind of pain and that kind of frustration.”
Tlaib replied: “That was not my intention. I do apologize if that’s what it sounded like. ”
D’oh!! Lynne Patton clapped back at Tlaib on Instagram: I am not a prop.
“Does anybody else find it odd that the two people who surreptitiously recorded Trump, Michael Cohen and Omarosa, have no tape recordings of anything Trump ever said that was racist — or even incriminating?!”

CNN totally ignored the story of Democrat lawmaker Mary Ann Lisanti, who called a majority-black country a “n****er district.”

Meanwhile, here’s what CNN’s Don Lemon thinks about white people. But if you wear a MAGA hat, you’re the racist, according to the mainstream media.
