Though socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has enjoyed falsely portraying herself as a people’s champion who grew up experiencing the hard-knock life in one of New York City’s toughest borough (she didn’t), the evidence suggests it’s bologna.
In fact, at this point it’s unclear whether she ever even really lived in the Bronx.
According to an investigation by the New York Post, prior to winning a seat in Congress and relocating to Washington, D.C,. the young congresswoman claimed to be living at her deceased father’s one-bedroom Bronx apartment/condo. Yet none of the apartment’s neighbors can recall ever seeing her:
“Her apartment’s next-door neighbor said she had never seen Ocasio-Cortez. Another neighbor, who has lived down the hall from the congresswoman’s apartment for the last 40 years, said he’d never seen her or her boyfriend, Riley Roberts, who has claimed the address as his own since last spring.”
“I would have remembered,” one neighbor said after viewing a photo of AOC.
No Congressional district and no home address in her district…so who exactly is she supposed to be representing??? More corrupt and deceptive behavior from the @dnc darling @AOChttps://t.co/MNTHemkGQI

Even local business owners have no recollection of seeing her, except for after her campaign began, according to the Post: “Workers at Jerry’s Pizzeria, less than a block from her building, and at the local grocery store said she had never patronized their businesses — and a server at a nearby taqueria said the congresswoman had only come in to be filmed by news crews.”
The congresswoman also reportedly posed in her father’s apartment for a seemingly phony Vogue photo following her midterm election victory last November:

Prior to her election, she used her image as a Bronx homegirl to boost her profile:
There’s more. When she filed paperwork two years ago to become a congressional candidate, she declared her candidacy for the wrong district. It was as she didn’t even know where she lived.
A postal work who reportedly delivers mail to her building said that in the past decade he’s only seen her a couple times and that mail tends to pile up in her mailbox fairly often.
“Just because their names are on the box doesn’t mean they live there,” the postal worker said.
This discovery fits in line with a previous discovery that she didn’t even really grow up in the Bronx. While it’s true she was born there, when she was five her father relocated them to a home in Yorktown Heights, an upscale suburb in Westchester County with a median income of $95,523.

If AOC were a true people’s champ, you’d think she’d spent at least some of her time on the mean streets speaking with her constituents, right?
She doesn’t even have a local office there, according to the Post. And since her inauguration last month, she’s only been to New York City four times — and only for high-profile, public events such as appearances on CBS’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
Talk about a true people’s champ … a true rich people’s champ, that is.
“[A district office] makes government immediately responsible and accountable to the citizens. Constituents need to know their representatives are working for them, and not for national prominence,” Jadan Horyn of Reclaim New York, a government watchdog group, said to the Post.
The young congresswoman is reportedly in the process of setting up a constituent office in the Queens neighborhood of Jackson Heights. Or rather she’s in the process of spending a fortune renovating a third-floor space in a building that reportedly charges $40 per square foot for rent. The Post was unable to obtain confirmation from AOC that taxpayers aren’t the ones funding these renovations.
Nor has Ocasio-Cortez shown any willingness to speak with the media about why she’s she’s currently living in an upscale apartment complex in Washington, D.C., that’s so ritzy that “[p]oor people not allowed,” as reported by the Washington Examiner.
All that’s known for certain is that — just like former President Barack Hussein Obama — the young congresswoman’s hypocrisy and lies seem to have no discernible limit:
Here it is. Need to see anything else? AOC is a fraud. She doesn’t live in her own district. She had no office there for constituents. She is a female version of Obama. 100% hype and bullsh**t combined with PR. Cares only about her own wealth & celebrity. https://t.co/QqivzCuCJT

AOC is a lot like Obama. She wasn’t rich when she arrived in DC, but she is now living the high life at the taxpayers’ expense. Does she really need a 5,000 square foot office in Queens? No, but when the taxpayers foot the bill why not, eh AOC?https://t.co/sm4hzB6t21

@AOC you’re as slimy as all politicians who lie. You don’t even live in your district. Tsk tsk tsk tsk. Hope you’re done in one term.

It’s hardly a surprise that the AOCs of Congress aren’t the people they parade themselves as!
Who is AOC anyway? She’s surely not her resume!

Who is teaching @AOC the dirty tricks of politics? Just like @RepMaxineWaters doesn’t live in her district?
Plays fast and loose with campaign money. Funded by @georgesoros? She is a clear & present danger to our Republic.
