Not only does California Congresswoman Maxine Waters have no idea how to pronounce the term patriots, but it appears she also doesn’t have a single clue what the word means.
As noted by nearly every English dictionary in the world, patriots are citizens of a nation who fervently love their country and are willing to do whatever is necessary to protect said country from enemies and invaders. But according to Waters, the term patriots means something else altogether.
“This president is trying to keep a campaign promise to all of those people that he swore he would build a wall! And those people who want the wall are not patriots,” she bellowed at a rally Monday outside the Los Angeles City Hall in protest of the president’s proposed southern U.S. border wall.
“They are not people who love this country. They are not people who stand up for what’s right!”
Ironically, Waters’ misguided declaration was met with resistance from a lone, patriotic, flag-waving Trump-supporter who created a quite a stir.

It’s as if she’s never picked up a dictionary or read her own party’s platform.
The modern Democrat Party believes that America’s borders should be hoisted open and that all foreigners and migrants who seek entry into the states should be allowed in, regardless of the immense threat they may pose to bonafide American men, women and even children.
In fact, Democrats have repeatedly proposed and/or implemented policies that benefit criminal migrants and aliens over the populace. Following his inauguration last month, newly elected California Gov. Gavin Newsom called for forcing every rightful California citizen to obtain health insurance, charging each Californian exorbitant premiums for that insurance and then using the money accrued to provide illegal aliens with free health care.
That same month actress Alyssa Milano, a proud Democrat, urged her millions of Twitter followers to donate money to help a criminal alien. Yet only weeks earlier she’d mocked an injured war veteran — i.e., a man who sustained life-altering wounds while fighting overseas on behalf of America — for trying to raise money for the president’s proposed wall.

Democrats, including Waters, always do this — they always prioritize the interests and well-being of non-Americans over that of actual Americans. How is doing this patriotic? It’s not.
Nor is it patriotic to let the district you represent become a veritable “cesspool” of poverty:
As noted by Fox News host Tucker Carlson last year, the poverty-stricken district Waters represents boasts the “second highest percentage of African-American residents.” But the congresswoman, who purports to be a people’s champ, doesn’t actually live there. Instead she lives in a wealthy district nearby that boasts only a only a six percent black population.

The two things she seems to love most in life are wealth and illegal aliens.
Two years ago a local black woman protested the congresswoman’s love of criminal aliens, noting in an angry diatribe delivered outside a town hall meeting that Waters’ unpatriotic support for illegals over American citizens has destroyed the black community.
“All the jobs went to illegal immigrants. You have destroyed the black community. … You gave our jobs to illegals. We want you out!” she screamed with rage.

But like the congresswoman made clear in her speech Monday, this is what being a “patriot” is all about to her — sacrificing the interests of her own constituents to aid those foreigners who care so little for America and what it stands for that their first act within the U.S. is to violate its immigration laws.
Unbelievable, though also ironic. Like some social Twitter users pointed out, when Waters spoke Monday of people who don’t love this country or stand up for what’s right, she was basically describing she and her peers in the Democrat Party to a T:
