Trump Derangement Syndrome among liberals has reached a fever pitch. This time, a Tennessee man named James Phillips was arrested after admitting that he pulled a gun on a couple after getting triggered by their MAGA hats.
The victim, Terry Pierce, told WBKO that Phillips pointed a gun in his face at a Sam’s Club in Kentucky and threatened to kill him.
‘It’s a Good Day For You to Die’
Pierce says he was shopping with his wife when Phillips “pulled a .40 caliber out and stuck it in my face, backed up and said, ‘It’s a good day for you to die.'”
Phillips then ran off. Pierce followed him outside into the parking the lot. Phillips was unable to make a quick getaway because he had to wait for his mom, who was still shopping inside:
“I went out the front of the store to confront him again, and that’s when I got him in his car.
He couldn’t leave because his mother was still in the store. And we were having a verbal altercation outside. He tried telling me that I assaulted him and I said, ‘I never touched you.'”
MAGA Hat Triggered Assailant
According to the police report, James Phillips admitted that he flipped off Terry Pierce and his wife after getting enraged at the sight of their MAGA hats.
He claimed that he pulled the gun because Pierce had tried to physically assault him, but surveillance video shows that Pierce never touched him.
Phillips has a concealed carry permit in his home state of Tennessee. He has been charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, a class D felony.
Violence Against Trump Supporters Ramps Up
While the incident might sound funny because no one was hurt, it’s yet another example of the alarming trend of leftists resorting to threats and violence against Trump supporters.
These incidents of harassment and bullying are becoming all too common and must be deterred before someone actually gets killed over a MAGA hat.
In July 2018, a man named Kino Jimenez attacked 16-year-old Hunter Richard and stole his MAGA hat on the Fourth of July.
The shocking incident was captured on video, which showed Jimenez throwing a cup of iced soda at Hunter while yelling: “You ain’t supporting sh*t, n**ger! You b*[email protected] motherf*cker!”
In December 2018, a Trump-hating employee at a Georgia vape shop launched a profanity-laced tirade at a customer and refused to serve him simply because he wore a MAGA hat.
Ironically, the vape shop’s boss — a black woman — fired the verbally abusive employee, saying all her customers deserve respect, regardless of their political affiliation.
Actor Staged Fake Crime to Smear Trump Supporters
In the latest iteration of Trump Derangement Syndrome, “Empire” star Jussie Smollett reportedly hired two brothers to stage a fake hate crime, which he blamed on white Trump supporters in MAGA hats.
When questioned, the Nigerian brothers told police that Smollett had paid them $3,500 to stage the hoax attack.
Smollett ― whose Twitter feed is filled with anti-Trump hatred dating back to 2011 ― apparently wanted promote an anti-Trump narrative, which the media eagerly promoted.
Smollett could now be charged with a crime for allegedly filing a false police report.
