New evidence regarding the infamous Russia dossier used by the FBI to obtain a warrant on President Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign members suggests that somebody is lying. Worse, the liars could very well be the congressional Democrats who now control the House.
According to Democrats, notorious Justice Department official Bruce Ohr passed Christopher Steele’s bogus, discredited dossier on Trump to the FBI sometime after the 2016 presidential election.
But according to testimony by Ohr and his wife, Nelly, that’s been reviewed by Fox News chief intelligence correspondent Catherine Herridge, it seems the dossier was handed to the bureau months earlier.
In a report published Monday evening, Herridge noted that according to congressional transcripts and email records, Steele met with Ohr and his wife on July 30, months before the election.
“My understanding was that Chris Steele was hoping that Bruce could put in a word with the FBI to follow-up in some way,” Ohr’s wife testified last year regarding the purpose of the meeting, adding that her husband spoke with Steele about “[Steele’s] suspicions that Russian Government figures were supporting the candidacy of Donald Trump.”

“In her testimony, Nellie Ohr also said that pieces of the unverified dossier – which later would be used to secure a surveillance warrant for Trump campaign aide Carter Page – may have been shared during the meal,” Herridge pointed out.
Now here’s the key: Ohr himself has admitted to House investigators that his “first move” following the meeting had been to reach out to senior FBI officials, including then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew Page, then-FBI attorney Lisa Page and then-FBI special agent Peter Strzok.
“Andy McCabe, yes and met with him and Lisa Page and provided information to him. I subsequently met with Lisa Page, Peter Strzok, and eventually [an FBI agent]. And I also provided this information to people in the criminal division specifically Bruce Swartz, Zainab Ahmad, Andrew Weissmann,” he said, according to congressional transcripts.
The problem is that this testimony by both Ohr and his wife seems to contradict claims by both Democrats and Glenn Simpson, the co-founder of the firm, Fusion GPS, used by Hillary Clinton and the Democrat National Committee to order the creation of the phony dossier.

Herridge noted that in a defensive statement released after House investigators concluded their investigation into the dossier last February, congressional Democrats either purposefully or accidentally fudged the facts. If they did so purposefully, that means they lied.
“In late November, Ohr informed the FBI of his prior professional relationship with Steele and information that Steele shared with him (including Steele’s concern about Trump being compromised by Russia),” they said at the time.
“He also described his wife’s contract work with Fusion GPS, the firm that hired Steele separately. This occurred weeks after the election and more than a month after the Court approved the initial FISA application.”
This appears to be false, as the evidence suggests Ohr handed the FBI the dossier in early August. But Democrats aren’t the only one who appear to be lying.
According to email records received by Herridge, Simpson was in contact with Ohr as early as August of 2016. Yet when he testified to the House Intelligence Committee in 2017, he claimed that he worked with Ohr “sometime after Thanksgiving.”
It’s unclear why congressional Democrats and Simpson — who hosts direct ties to Clinton– seem to be lying.
It’s also unknown why these apparent lies — just a few of the many lies told by the left in regard to the discredited dossier — have received scant attention from the media or special counsel Robert Mueller.
The same applies to the unscrupulous behavior of so many former top Justice Department/FBI officials, including Page, Strzok, McCabe and disgraced former FBI Director James Comey.

These sorts of findings, which continue to be unearthed almost weekly by Fox News’ intrepid reports, have only served to amplify the belief among the president’s most fervent supporters that the only collusion that occurred during the election was that by those left-wingers (including perhaps even Mueller himself) intent on stopping him from becoming president.
