The media is relentless when it comes to denigrating President Donald Trump, not that inquiring minds wouldn’t be curious about some things, given the scandalous circumstances.
Citing the now standard anonymous sources, the Washington Post reported Monday that President Trump is preoccupied with where former President Bill Clinton and White House aide Monica Lewinsky had sex and eagerly shows Oval Office visitors where their steamy encounters took place.
Reminiscent of Trump’s Access Hollywood “locker room banter,” The Post reported that the president, “flashing a grin,” summons visitors to an area where Clinton and Lewinsky began their sexual encounters.

“We’ve remodeled it since then,” he said on a tour in December, said a person with direct knowledge of the event. In a visit in 2017, Trump told a TV anchor, “I’m told this is where Bill and Monica . . .” — stopping himself from going further, according to “Team of Vipers,” a new book by former White House aide Cliff Sims that The Washington Post obtained before its publication Tuesday.
Three other people who have embarked on a tour with Trump said he made similar comments regarding the former president and White House intern, laughing and making facial expressions. The subject often leads to lengthy, sometimes crass conversations, aides said.
Of course, a single mention of Clinton and Lewinsky is all the anti-Trump media needs to turn the 72-year-old president into a lewd, lascivious teenager getting his kicks over the sexual activity of others.
The Post claimed Trump “relishes giving tours to acquaintances and strangers by the hundreds,” and then rolls out presidential historian Douglas Brinkley to further paint him as someone who looks to avoid work.
“He’s very restless and doesn’t like desk work. He’d rather roam around and B.S. with people than hunker down,” Brinkley opined.
Readers are also told that Trump dumps on his predecessor, Barack Obama, during his personal tours, with the same anonymous sources being cited.
The president has also claimed to guests, without evidence, that his private dining room off the Oval Office was in “rough shape” and had a hole in the wall when he came into the West Wing and that President Barack Obama used it to watch sports, according to two White House officials and two other people who have heard him discuss the dining room. “He just sat in here and watched basketball all day,” Trump told a recent group, before saying he upgraded Obama’s smaller TV to a sprawling, flat-screen one, the four people said.
Naturally, an anonymous Obama official disputed the alleged remark, telling the Post there was no hole in the wall and that the former president did not watch basketball in the dining room.
One thing is certain, the media didn’t have the same curiosity about what Obama did in the White House. Hell, to this very day, we do not know what the former president was doing the night of the Benghazi terror attack.
