Trump responds to angry accusations and Coulter’s fury that he caved on wall: ‘This was in no way a concession’

President Trump received bipartisan criticism for caving on the border wall–at least for 3 more weeks.

President Donald Trump responded to jeers from liberals and criticism from conservatives that he caved on the wall when he signed a three-week spending bill to reopen the government after a 35-day shutdown.

“I wish people would read or listen to my words on the Border Wall,” Trump tweeted. “This was in no way a concession. It was taking care of millions of people who were getting badly hurt by the Shutdown with the understanding that in 21 days, if no deal is done, it’s off to the races!”

Bill Keeps Government Open Through Feb. 15

Just hours earlier, Trump signed a temporary funding bill to keep the government open through February 15. The measure will ensure that federal employees receive back pay and not miss another paycheck.

Trump had been under heavy pressure to end the shutdown amid the border-wall stalemate after Democrats Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer insisted they won’t provide any money for the wall.

Even many Trump supporters were angry about President Trump’s capitulation.

Others underscored that Trump may have lost the battle, but not the war, since the funding bill he signed expires in three weeks. They also noted that Trump was being compassionate by putting the interests of furloughed workers above scoring a political win.

Ann Coulter to POTUS: Words Are Cheap!

Conservative author Ann Coulter was among the most vocal critics. She suggested that Trump was being “the biggest wimp” by reopening the government without wall money.

Ann Coulter later appeared on liberal comedian Bill Maher’s HBO show to criticize President Trump. It’s clear that Coulter still supports Trump, but is furious that he has not delivered on his promise to build the wall.

However, Coulter conceded that Democrat obstructionism and Republican wimpiness caused the current stalemate. Coulter also pointed to the success Israel has had with its wall.

Reminder: Here is the motley crew of “Republican” senators who voted against border wall funding.

Flashback: Many Democrats were in favor of immigration reform and border fencing until as recently as 2015.

Once Trump took office in 2017, the entire Democrat Party did an about-face and slammed the wall as “immoral” and racist.

Advice from Israel: Build the Wall

While Democrats want the public to believe they oppose the wall because they’re such kindhearted humanitarians, never forget that they’re doing it to increase their voting bloc after they alienated the middle class and many minority voters, who feel betrayed by the Democrat Party.

As BizPac Review reported, David Rubin — the former mayor of Shiloh, Israel— urged the US to build the wall, saying Israelis are thrilled with their wall because it slashed illegal immigration down to ZERO.

Rubin said many Israelis initially complained about the wall — the same way American liberals do today — but they’re happy now.

“Build the wall and crime will fall.”

Thanks to open-borders Democrats, hundreds of illegal aliens are pouring across the US border every day and coming to your neighborhood.
