Gov. Cuomo orders World Trade Center lit up in pink to celebrate new extreme abortion law that allows killing right up until birth

Democrats continue to shove their politics in the face of everyday Americans who are more likely than not unaware of how destructive their policies actually are to the well-being of this great country.

In response to the New York state legislature passing legislation that declares the killing of unborn babies up to the moment of birth a “fundamental right,” Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo had One World Trade Center in New York City lit up in pink.

The politicization of the hallowed ground were nearly 3,000 people died at the hands of radical Islamic terrorists appearing appropriate to progressive Democrats.

The Reproductive Health Act strips from the New York state penal code a law that makes it a felony to perform late-term abortions, The Democrat & Chronicle reported.

This would have applied to pregnancies over 24 weeks.

The replacement language reads:

“The legislature finds that comprehensive reproductive health care is a fundamental component of every individual’s health, privacy and equality.

“Therefore, it is the policy of the state that:

“Every individual has the fundamental right to choose or refuse contraception or sterilization. Every individual who becomes pregnant has the fundamental right to choose to carry the pregnancy to term, to give birth to a child, or to have an abortion, pursuant to this article.”

The Reproductive Health Act takes care to define a “person” as “a human being who has been born and is alive.”

The law leaves it up to the health-care practitioner — Kermit Gosnell? — to decide if an abortion is warranted regardless of how far along the pregnancy is, basing the decision on the viability of the fetus or if the woman’s life or health is in jeopardy.

Next step for the left in New York is to add the right to kill unborn babies to the state constitution, Cuomo noted.

Planned Parenthood of New York City, one of the key benefactors of the bill, took to Twitter to celebrate their windfall, sharing a video of state lawmakers standing and cheering their efforts to ensure the right to kill unborn babies.

It’s important to understand that Planned Parenthood, a nonprofit organization, is on the receiving end of well over $500 million a year from US taxpayers.

That figure totaled $563.8 million in 2017-2018 and the business of killing babies is booming.

Citing Planned Parenthood’s 2017-2018 fiscal year annual report “quietly” released over the weekend, Townhall reported “the number of abortions the group did this past year increased by over 11,000 from 321,384 in 2016 to 332,757.”

In spite of an increase in taxpayer dollars, Townhall noted that “almost every other category” of women’s health care services saw a drop — including cancer screenings and prevention and prenatal services.

Even more troubling, the nonprofit continued to… well, profit.

“While the number of patients is the same, the organization’s excess of revenue over expenses continued its dramatic increase and more than doubled from $77.5 million in 2015 and $98.5 million in 2016 to a whopping $244.8 million in 2017,” Lauretta Brown wrote.

Oh, and Planned Parenthood reported $1.88 Billion in assets.
