Jimmy Buffett raised some eyebrows with a mic drop following a questionable performance of the national anthem.

The “Margaritaville” singer delivered his rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner” on Sunday ahead of the NFC Championship Game in New Orleans, but left many scratching their heads over his performance.

The lifelong New Orleans Saints fan sang what many considered a lackluster version of the national anthem but then stretched out his hand and dropped the microphone at the end.

Social media lit up with comments on the 72-year-old performer’s confusing finale to the song.

The “Cheeseburger in Paradise” singer thanked the Saints in tweet featuring a video of the moment, and called it a “great honor” to have been invited to sing.

Earlier in the day, he had shared a photo of his rehearsal on Instagram, and captioned the post with the lyrics to the national anthem.
