Ben Shapiro fights back as ‘baby Hitler’ comments are twisted. Some folks see irony after Steve King slam.

Renowned conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, a Jewish man, has some advice for left-wing activists and their media allies: Either tell the truth or “keep lying.”

He said as much in a tweet Friday after he attracted widespread criticism and mockery from the far-left for daring to argue earlier that day at the March for Life that “[i]t is immoral to kill children because of what they might become in the future.”

The controversy specifically revolves around remarks he made during the march Friday in reference to a theoretical “baby Hitler.” Why a “baby Hitler?” Because the left has in numerous instances argued that abortion reduces crime by preventing potential criminals from growing up and becoming monstrous individuals like deceased Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

So according to the left’s logic, it would be morally just for a time traveler to travel back to 1889, the year Hitler was born, and ensure that he was aborted and thus was never born.

Speaking at the march Friday, Shapiro noted that this “logic” is wrong.

“The truth is that no pro-life person on earth would kill baby Hitler, because baby Hitler wasn’t Hitler. Adult Hitler was Hitler. Baby Hitler was a baby. What you presumably want to do with baby Hitler is take baby Hitler out of baby Hitler’s house and move baby Hitler into a better house where he would not grow up to be Hitler, right? That’s the idea,” he said.

Listen to his full argument below:

Take note of the statistics he cited to disprove the false narrative that abortion reduces crime. These statistics matter — as does the broader argument — because nearly every single media outlet that reported his non controversial remarks made sure to not include this part.

Instead they all relied on the footage shared to Twitter by Jordan Uhl, a radical far-left “progressive” activist who trimmed Shapiro’s full statement to just 21 seconds.

Look at Uhl’s tweet and those of other misinformed activists below:

As of Saturday morning, this false narrative had been plastered all over the media. And as a result of this false narrative that Shapiro is allegedly sympathetic toward “baby Hitler,” the conservative radio show host had already lost at least two advertisers and counting.

But as Shapiro noted in his tweets, the narrative is a lie. He was not defending or displaying sympathy toward Hitler but rather using the notion of “baby Hitler” as a means to point out that the sanctity of life applies to everybody, including those with wicked hearts, and that abortion doesn’t stop crime.

None of this matters to the increasingly radical left. There’s a bitter irony to it. After the left-wing media ran a story about congressman Steve King in which it published his words out of context to portray him as a racist, many among the establishment right, including Shapiro, bought into the smear.

The events of the past 24 hours show that nobody is immune to a left-wing media smear, including even Shapiro, an otherwise principled conservative known for his good heart and genteel personality.
