After dismissing grieving angel moms, Schumer leads parade of Dems holding pics of furloughed fed workers

UNITED STATES – JANUARY 16: Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., leads the Senate Democrats, carrying large photos of federal workers affected by the governement shut down, down the Senate steps a news conference to call on President Trump to re-open the government on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019. Less than 24 hours after congressional Democrats snubbed a group of grieving “angel moms” who’d sought to speak with them about the ongoing border security/government shutdown fight, these same Democrats held a rally on behalf of another set of purported victims: furloughed government workers.

“Each one of these Americans has a different story about how the shutdown is hurting them and their families,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer bellyached Wednesday as he and his peers stood at the bottom of the U.S. Capitol holding photos of furloughed workers and their family members.

“Everyone of us hears over and over again how people are being hurt,” he added, before going on to describe some of the furloughed federal workers with whom he’d allegedly spoken.

Many Americans, including some of the mothers and fathers of those men and women slain by criminal aliens, found the rally to be equivalent to a stage “performance” because of the false narrative.

Every government employee affected by the ongoing government shutdown — which as a reminder was triggered because of Schumer’s refusal to back a spending bill that would have funded both the government and a southern U.S. border wall — will eventually be paid.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday that specifically “requires the compensation of government employees for wages lost, work performed, or leave used during a lapse in appropriations that begins on or after December 22, 2018.”

Moreover, the temporary loss of income is not equivalent to the loss of a loved ones, according to “angel mom” Sabine Durden, a legal immigrant whose son Dominic was killed seven years ago when a drunk criminal alien with two prior DUI convictions slammed into his motorcycle.

“How incredibly insulting to those who would give up EVERYTHING to have their loved ones back for just a few hours,” she reportedly wrote later Wednesday in a statement to PJ Media.

“He’s showing his true colors and they are NOT red/white and blue. This little show is exactly what we talked about when we went to his office and he didn’t make time to even meet us for a minute. Those workers will get their pay, I will NEVER get my son back.”

On Tuesday Durden and her peers stormed the offices of both Schumer and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and demanded to speak with them. Both congressional Democrats refused.

It’s unclear why the Senate minority leader is heartbroken over the fate of furloughed federal workers — all of whom will eventually be paid — but remains entirely indifferent to the plight of those mothers and fathers who’ve lost their loved ones due to the actions of criminal aliens.

It’s also unclear why he remains so unwilling to negotiate with president over the construction of a wall along the southern U.S. border that evidence shows would reduce illegal immigration.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

During a rally held Tuesday outside the Capitol by various supporters of the president, including “angel moms” like Durden, the co-founder of the group Women for Trump posed a critical question for congressional Democrats like Pelosi and Schumer who refuse to fund the president’s wall.

“This is not just a manufactured crisis. Which one of your children would you be willing to sacrifice?” co-founder Amy Kremer asked.

This question remained unanswered as of Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, an untold number of Americans had their own questions for the Democrat leaders.
