Democrat Congressman Jim Himes — a member of the House Intelligence Committee — vowed to unleash a barrage of investigations to continue obstructing President Trump in 2019.
But when pressed by Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo, Himes was unable to cite any concrete evidence of “Russian collusion.”
“You have said that the [House Intelligence] Committee has more circumstantial evidence of collusion,” Bartiromo said. “Where is that evidence?”
It Only Matters What You Can Prove
Himes stammered back:
There’s far better than circumstantial evidence. We have the president’s son inviting Russians to Trump Tower and asking them for help in the election.
We have the president himself saying, ‘Russia, please find these e-mails.’ We have four or five senior Trump administration and campaign officials who are going to jail for lying about their contacts with Russia.
And we learned in the last 48 hours of course that the [Obama] FBI was concerned that the president might have actually been working for the Russians.
For the record, none of these unsubstantiated rumors have yielded any concrete evidence that the 2016 Trump campaign colluded with Russia. You can’t prosecute someone based solely on innuendos and rumors.
Remember: It doesn’t matter what you believe. It only matters what you can prove.
Jim Himes cited a slew of unsubstantiated Democrat talking points parroted by the media, but had no “smoking gun” or real evidence to support the sham Russia collusion investigation.
Maria: When Will You Investigate FISA Abuses?
Bartiromo followed up by asking when will the House Intelligence Committee investigate the mass FISA abuses committed by the Obama FBI to illegally spy on Trump campaign aides.
“Let me move on to your role on the Intel committee, sir.
We know that there was real FISA abuse, where the FBI did not tell the FISA judge who paid for the dossier that it was a political document.
Are you going to pursue that? Are you going to seek the truth there?
As BizPac Review reported, shocking emails show that top DOJ and FBI officials under Barack Obama’s former FBI director James Comey engaged in a willful, organized scheme to defraud the FISA Court in order to illegally spy on the 2016 Trump campaign.
Despite their skepticism about the sham dossier, Obama holdovers in the FBI (under Comey’s direction) used the dossier to support their requests for FISA warrants in order to spy on Trump campaign aides.
Maria Bartiromo: ‘Democrats Paid For the Dossier’
The FBI also knew that the dossier’s author — discredited former British spy Christopher Steele — planted stories in the media in order to buttress the bogus claims made in the dossier, which was paid for by Hillary Clinton‘s 2016 campaign.
The FBI then used this circular reporting to bolster its sham FISA application in order to illegally spy on the 2016 Trump campaign.
The FBI never revealed to the FISA court that the dossier was paid for by Hillary’s camp and that the dossier’s author, Christopher Steele, passionately hated Donald Trump.

“The Democrats paid for the dossier,” Maria Bartiromo told Jim Himes. “That’s a fact. The [FISA] judge said he did not know Hillary Clinton paid for the dossier, Congressman.
Himes retorted: “But you know that nothing in the dossier has been disproven. Not a single thing in that dossier has been disproven.”
BuzzFeed: Unsubstantiated Dossier Contained Errors
(Spoiler alert: That’s false. Even leftist website BuzzFeed — which first published the clickbait dossier — admitted the allegations contained errors and were unverified.)
Maria shot back: “What report is that? I’ve not seen that report. I don’t believe we have hard evidence of collusion. I’m not sure what you’re referring to.”
