Socialist congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez appears to be wearing out her welcome.
In recent weeks she’s faced increasing criticism from not only her fellow congressional Democrats, but even from everyday Democrats like the ones who inhabit Twitter.
Take for instance presumed Democrat voter Mike Murphy, who took to Twitter on Saturday to ding the New York congresswoman for spending more time trash-talking versus getting things done.

It’s gonna be awesome when @AOC turns twitter vitriol into legislation

Ouch. It’s true that the rising 29-year-old Democrat star does spend an inordinate amount of time on Twitter instigating conflicts and then trying to play the victim card afterward.
That being said, she was kind enough to reply to Murphy’s tweet without acting like a complete jerk.
“This week I cosponsored bills in support of DC statehood (HR51), repeal of PAYGO, comprehensive voting reform (HR1), and a bunch of other things, so it‘s already begun,” she wrote.
She added that she’ll soon be dropping her “first original resolution” (a “resolution” is another word for a bill), which she claimed will be “like a mixtape, but with way more nerdy producers.”

But if she thought this response would ingratiate her to Twitter users, she thought wrong. Instead, an army of critics pounced on her, attacking her for everything from her mixtape-like resolution to the types of bills she supports and would like to see signed into law.
In regard to the “mixtape” remark, the argument was that a member of the 229-year-old legislative body should not be acting like a gangster rapper.
Look:
Oh, ur so gangster, what ya gonna drop next… So sad you’re just to ignorant to know how stupid you sound. Keep up the great work, conservatives everywhere appreciate the heck out of it. #Trump2020 #AOC #socialist #marxist

Mentally, you stalled out at about twelve years old.
If you’re looking at your job as a “mixtape”, you need to get the hell out of office immediately and let an intelligent adult take over.— John Music (@KosmicSurfer) January 13, 2019
“A bunch of other things” – can’t wait. Maybe you should do what freshmen congressmen/women are supposed to do – keep your mouth closed and eyes and ears open for your first few months – at least? I don’t think the AMERICAN people are ready for a congressional mixtape, ever.

You dont “drop legislation like it is a mixtape” just ridiculous but this is where society is. Let the asteroid come asap

Others took aim at her legislative agenda.
“There are two sure bets any person w/a brain can make and win in 2019 / 2020. One is to bet that the sun will rise in the East and set in the West. The second and more safer bet is that any bill you sponsor, co-sponsor or support will never ever become a law,” the top-voted reply read as of Sunday.
Many agreed with this assessment:

I have to agree there !

Wow! She is like a free circus show….just set back and watch for free lol.

LOL…You’re right about that!

He is predicting any future bill she has her name in will never see the light of day she is a complete idiot and not what the majority of people ordered. Something must have been in the water the day people voted in the state of New York.

But nothing to open the government.

It is not about passing laws but the appearance of doing something so she can run for higher office and get more lobbyists contributions. She has a few summer homes to buy.

The latter tweet was a surreptitious reference to Ocasio-Cortez’s hypocritical spending habits. Despite portraying herself as a socialist who believes in redistributing wealth from successful businesses/individuals and into the hands of the less fortunate, she’s doesn’t live by her word.
There was one notably unusual reply to Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet.
Daniel Schuman, a policy director at the far-left Demand Progress non-profit, tweeted instructions to her on how she could access a list of all sponsored and co-sponsored bills.
Odder still was the congresswoman’s response.
Look:
A full list of your sponsored and co-sponsored bills can be found here. (And folks can set up an alert, you know, just in case). https://t.co/J4DJIln32M

Follow this link. You can set up a @congressdotgov for email alerts for any member of congress or any particular bill. https://t.co/ElKjJk8nJz My friend @JoshData at @govtrack has a great (free) alert system that I use all the time (https://t.co/bGIZgQVFp6).

It’s unclear whether she had already known that Congress.gov can be used in this manner.
