Tear gas used on mob of violent migrants attempting storm US border on New Year’s Eve

A mob of criminal aliens stationed in and around Tijuana tried once again on New Year’s Eve to storm across the southern U.S. border near the San Ysidro Port of Entry in San Diego, California.

Just like in November, when U.S. Customs and Border Patrol used tear gas to repel a similar attempted invasion, immigration authorities again used every tool at their disposal — including tear gas — to halt the criminal aliens’ entry into the U.S. and ward off their attacks.

“Once again we have had a violent mob of migrants attempt to enter the United States illegally by attacking our agents with projectiles,” a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson said.

“As has happened before in this and previous administrations our personnel used the minimum force necessary to defend themselves, defend our border, and restore order. The agents involved should be applauded for handling the situation with no reported injuries to the attackers.”

The spokesperson added that “once the attempted illegal entry was thwarted by agents, the mob began pushing women and minors to the front, forcing minors to climb dangerous concertina wire, and encouraged conveniently invited media to begin filming their illegal acts.”

The criminal aliens who attempted to storm the border in November pulled the same stunt.

According to an official statement by CBP, the altercation began when “approximately 150 migrants attempted to illegally enter the United States by climbing over and crawling under border fence in San Diego Sector.”

“Due to CBP’s increased presence, a first group of 45 turned back towards Mexico,” the statement continues. “Shortly thereafter, migrants began throwing rocks over the fence at the CBP agents and officers.”

“Several teenagers, wrapped in heavy jackets, blankets and rubber mats were put over the concertina wire. Border Patrol agents witnessed members of the group attempt to lift toddler sized children up and over the concertina wire and having difficulty accomplishing the task in a safe manner.”

CBP agents were unable to do anything for the children because of the rocks being thrown at them. To stop the assault, the agency began deploying “minimal countermeasures” — including tear gas and pepper spray — against only the rock throwers, not the children.

“These countermeasures successfully suppressed the rock throwers causing them to flee the area. Most of the migrants attempting the incursion, to include those with children, returned to Mexico via a hole under the fence and by climbing over the fence.”

The statement concluded by noting that no children were harmed by the tear gas and that 25 criminal aliens total were arrested, including two teenagers.

The tweet above, which contains a link to CBP’s statement, urges President Donald Trump to remain firm on his plan to construct a border wall along the southern U.S. border.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

Late last month House Republicans passed a spending bill that included funding for the wall. Because of obstruction by congressional Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the bill remains perpetually stalled.

The government entered into a partial shutdown last month as a result. No end to the shutdown looms near in part because of an obstinate refusal by congressional Democrats to negotiate.

In a Twitter statement posted after the altercation Monday evening, DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen noted that this “humanitarian crisis on the border” will continue until Congress takes action:

The problem is that the Democrat Party as a whole has shown an aversion to any and all immigration enforcement actions, including even the arrest and deportation of MS-13 gang members.

And with Democrats slated to retake Congress this week because of how the American people voted last November, the chances of the border crisis actually being resolved have dropped to near zero.

Unless of course, the American people can convince Democrats otherwise:
