Fire captain’s son killed on Christmas weekend by man held on immigration violation charges

Another American citizen — this one a young 22-year-old Tennessee man — has been killed because of the country’s inability to properly secure its overwhelmed southern border.

“Franco Cambrany Francisco-Eduardo, 44, was driving a Chevrolet truck north on Chapman Highway Saturday evening when … he veered into the southbound lane near the 4700 block and hit a Honda Civic driven by Pierce Kennedy Corcoran,” the Knoxville News Sentinel reported.

Corcoran was the son of Knoxville Fire Department Capt. DJ Corcoran. He and his passenger, 21-year-old Jade Damecia Adams, were reportedly transferred to a hospital. He died shortly thereafter.

The young man’s killer, Francisco-Eduardo, is, on the other hand, a criminal alien who’s been found to have no driver’s license and no insurance. His arrest records show that he also has an unfulfilled detainer request on him from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

While the details of his prior arrests remain unknown, Knoxville had been a so-called “sanctuary city” up until last year, when the legislature approved a proposal banning “sanctuary cities.”

It’s possible Francisco-Eduardo had previously been arrested for other crimes prior to the implementation of this ban, meaning local authorities would have been forced to release him back into the public instead of transferring him into the custody of federal immigration authorities.

The same thing happened in California, where because of the state’s tolerance of “sanctuary city” laws, a criminal alien was repeatedly released after multiple arrests. That criminal alien, Gustavo Perez Arriaga, went on to murder a police officer in late December.

In the case of Francisco-Eduardo, he’s been charged with criminally negligent homicide, “No Driver’s License” and “No Proof of Financial Responsibility,” according to the Knoxville Police Department.

Criminal aliens like Francisco-Eduardo, Arriaga and countless others keep crossing into the United States because of the country’s lack of proper border security, including a wall.

Last month House Republicans passed a spending bill that included funding for the wall. Because of obstruction by congressional Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the bill remains perpetually stalled.

As a result, the government entered into a partial shutdown. And while Pelosi and Schumer have been scheming to end the shutdown without funding the wall, President Donald Trump has made it clear that he won’t allow that to happen — and that the wall is a must.

Conservatives strongly believe that the wall is among a number of must-have tools if the country is to ever truly secure its border. The evidence suggests they’re 100 percent correct.

“Every place we’ve built a wall — San Diego, Yuma, El Paso — the results have been a decrease in illegal immigration, a decrease in drug supply,” former U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director Thomas Homan noted last month during an appearance on Fox News.

“The data is there. I keep hearing Democrats say, ‘The wall doesn’t work.’ Then you’re ignoring the data. Every place that it’s been put up, it’s worked 100 percent of the time. So if it works, what price are you willing to put on our national security and public safety?”

Another problem is the “sanctuary city” laws which allow criminal aliens who’ve made it across the border to set up shop in the states without any risk of deportation. Democrats like Pelosi and Schumer support these laws as well.

“I support the sanctuary,” she bluntly said four years ago after the murder of San Francisco resident Kate Steinle by a criminal alien who’d benefited from her state’s “sanctuary city” laws.

It’s unclear why she supports policies that allow American citizens to be murdered left and right, including deceased Newman Police Department Cpl. Ronil Singh of California.

It’s also unclear why refuses to listen to the demands of the American people:
