President Donald Trump’s got jokes — good ones, at that.
During an interview late Monday evening with the president, Fox News host Pete Hegseth asked Trump whether he thinks Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren believes she can win the 2020 election.
He asked the question during a broader discussion about Warren’s announcement earlier in the day that she’s forming an exploratory committee for a possible 2020 election bid.
“She did very badly in proving that she was of Indian heritage. That didn’t work out too well. I think you have more than she does and maybe I do, too. And I have nothing,” the president first said, referencing the Massachusetts’ senator’s failed attempt to identify as a Native American.
“So, you know, we will see how she does. I wish her well. I hope she does well. I would love to run against her,” he added before Hegseth finally popped the question: “She says she’s in the fight all the way, Mr. President. Do you really believe she believes she can win?”
Listen to his reply below:
“Well, that I don’t know. You’d have to ask her psychiatrist,” the president quipped.
While Warren herself probably disliked this joke, the president’s supporters ate it up.
Look:
Host: Do you really think she believes she can win?
Trump: That I don’t know, you’d have to ask her psychiatrist.
Shit like this is exactly why I love our President. He’s so quick ! Now imagine how much fun it will be once we have a House and Senate that supports him. #2020

While the president clearly enjoyed his New Year’s Eve — albeit while working at the White House — the senator spent her day answering difficult questions from the media.
In her first press conference after her 2020 announcement, one reporter took her to task for wasting the American people’s time on ancestry issues versus issues that matter.
“If I am a Democrat, I worry about electability, I worry about a campaign more about Native American ancestry than the middle class,” the reporter said.
Warren spent a large chunk of 2018 doubling down on claims that she possessed Native American ancestry. The claims were later disproved when she took a DNA test in late 2018.
Listen to her reply below:
“Look, I’m in this fight because I understand what’s happening to working families,” she replied, dodging the reporter’s inquiry. “I grew up in a paycheck-to-paycheck family and my big chance was a commuter college that cost 50 dollars a semester.”
“I run for office because I’m grateful down to my toes for the opportunities that were given to me. And I am determined that we will give those same opportunities not to just some of our kids, but to all our our kids. I think when we fight for something positive, for something big, when we show what Democrats will get out there and make happen, that’s how I think we’ll win.”
The American people, including kids and young adults, have been enjoying more opportunities as of late because of the pro-growth, pro-economy policies put in place by the president.
The types of policies that Warren and her allies seek to implement — including an income tax rate between 50 to 90 percent — would destroy these gains and roll the economy backwards.
The senator continued her screed by ranting about the wealthy. Not once during her reply did she address the reporter’s point, as noted by many on social media:
Elizabeth Warren, who is best known for pretending to be an Indian, even using a staged homemade DNA test in a botched publicity stunt, now won’t even discuss it: https://t.co/gL1eeKwOYt

She only uses smoke signals now. She’s committed or maybe she should be committed

Well Elizabeth, ya can’t dodge questions for long dear

She has to deal with this and get it over with it, don’t avoid it, face it and answer it.

It wasnt a gaffe, it’s a decade old lie used to position herself.

She’s never going to get passed that. Lol. Poor thing.

The senator has never apologized for her false claim, let alone admitted that she’d lied. Though the DNA test she took earlier this year revealed she’s only 1/512th to 1/1024th Native American, she still appears to believe she’s Native American. It’s unclear if this is because she’s purposefully lying or, as the president insinuated, she really does need a psychiatrist.
