James Woods has a message Ocasio-Cortez critics may not like, but you need to hear

Outspoken conservative actor James Woods had a few words of warning to those on the right who are quick to ridicule Rep.-elect Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.

While the self-avowed democratic socialist is making a name for herself for her many blunders, Woods saw fit to remind her detractors that Ocasio-Cortez still managed to get elected, while an impotent GOP struggles to accomplish much of anything, to include getting a wall built along the southern border.

“Make fun of her all you want, but she managed to get elected,” Woods said in response to a recent tweet from Ocasio-Cortez. “The Republicans controlled Congress, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court, but couldn’t build the wall. Who’s more powerful? Wake up, folks. Wake up.”

It’s worth noting that Ocasio-Cortez defeated a powerful incumbent in the primary. Rep. Joe Crowley was the 4th ranked member of the Democratic Party and was seen by some as a possible successor to Nancy Pelosi as the party’s leader in the House.

The appeal of candidates like Ocasio-Cortez, a Bernie Sanders disciple, shows how far left the party has shifted and represents a new confrontational mentality among these new-school Democrats — coming at a time when the Republican Party, outside of President Trump, seems to have lost its stomach for the fight.

Woods’ “wake up” call came in response to Ocasio-Cortez tweeting an image of the nameplate hanging outside her office on Capitol Hill, under the guise of reassuring followers she’s still a ranking member of the working class proletariat.

Of course, that’s a real stretch given her upbringing, and social media users were quick to point this out.

But amid the ridicule, as entertaining as it may be, the progress being made in America by Marxist-inspired democratic socialists continues to fly under the radar.

Here’s a sampling of responses that supports the premise that these strides are being made with little recognition:

Not that some aren’t willing to place the blame squarely on the shoulders of the Republican Party:

Here’s a sampling of other responses to Woods’ warning not to underestimate the left, the scattered thought seen below reinforcing his cause for concern:
