Whereas congressional Democrats have been frittering away their holiday time vacationing in luxury, President Donald Trump has remained at the White House, where he steadfastly continues to work day in and day out to push ahead with his agenda for America.
The clearest evidence of this, besides for the media reports about his cancelled Christmas vacation and cancelled New Year’s party at Mar-a-Lago, are the president’s own tweets.
Take three of the tweets the president posted Saturday morning.
In one tweet he announced that he’d just completed a productive call with Chinese President Xi Jinping about a deal that he wrote will be “very comprehensive, covering all subjects.”
Just had a long and very good call with President Xi of China. Deal is moving along very well. If made, it will be very comprehensive, covering all subjects, areas and points of dispute. Big progress being made!

Earlier this year Trump launched a tariff trade war with China, which he’s long maintained has been “ripping America off” via high tariffs and intellectual property theft.
Then around the start of this month, Trump and Jinping agreed to a 90-day truce. The president’s Sunday text message suggests a permanent end to the trade war could be imminent.
In another tweet posted Sunday morning, the president reminded congressional Democrats that he’s ready and willing to negotiate with them on border security.
Look:
I am in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come on over and make a deal on Border Security. From what I hear, they are spending so much time on Presidential Harassment that they have little time left for things like stopping crime and our military!

Last week House Republicans passed a spending bill that included funding for the wall. Because of obstruction by congressional Democrats, including Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the bill remains perpetually stalled.
The government entered into a partial shutdown last Saturday morning as a result. But whereas most members of Congress have already left D.C. and taken to partying at their own preferred luxury resorts, Trump has chosen to remain in town and keep fighting.
According to reports, Pelosi, in particular, has been spotted vacationing at an upscale Hawaii resort where a room ranges from $899 per night to $4,899 per night.
“The resort, on Hawaii’s Big Island, features a golf course, six restaurants, and a 10,000-square-foot oceanfront pool,” the Washington Free Beacon reported on Friday.
“It also features a ‘Spa Without Walls,’ where the 110-minute Ali’i Royal Experience is available for $369 and a 50-minute couples massage runs $549, according to the spa menu. While at the spa, guests can snack on a gluten-free grilled prawn summer roll for $19.”

The tweet above referenced the tragic murder last week in California of Newman Police Department Cpl. Ronil Singh by illegal immigrant suspect Gustavo Perez Arriaga.
The suspect opened fire at a traffic stop the day after Christmas. Reports show that he’d been arrested at least twice in the past for DUIs but was never transferred into the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement because of California’s “sanctuary city” laws.
After Singh’s murder but before Arriaga’s arrest, the president took to Twitter to remind the American people of the deadly costs of the Democrats’ refusal to secure the borders.
Look:
There is right now a full scale manhunt going on in California for an illegal immigrant accused of shooting and killing a police officer during a traffic stop. Time to get tough on Border Security. Build the Wall!

In a final text Saturday morning, the president shined a light once again, on recently discovered findings regarding the questionable behavior of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation team.
“The Mueller Angry Democrats recently deleted approximately 19,000 Text messages between FBI Agent Lisa Page and her lover, Agent Peter S,” he tweeted. “These Texts were asked for and INVALUABLE to the truth of the Witch Hunt Hoax. This is a total Obstruction of Justice. All Texts Demanded!”
A report by the Office of the Inspector General released earlier this month revealed that someone within Mueller’s office had purposefully reset the government-issued phones of disgraced former FBI special agent Peter Strzok and disgraced former FBI attorney Lisa Page.
This matters because prior to their departure from the FBI, the two exchanged text messages that referenced an “insurance policy” against Trump’s election. The exact meaning of this “insurance policy” remains unclear because thousands of the romantically involved duo’s text messages disappeared once word of their anti-Trump animus went public.
And as Trump noted, the reason the messages disappeared was because of Mueller’s team.
The president was supposed to have spent the holidays relaxing at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, not making deals with China, trying to secure the border and shining a spotlight on Mueller’s dubious investigation. But because of Democrat obstruction, he voluntarily chose to remain on the job.
To say that the American people are grateful would be an understatement.
Look:
Thank you for working and putting Americans first, unfortunately dems would rather take vacations while government workers are furloughed and our boarders remain at risk.
