Well, there’s a reason they’re called the”unhinged” left.

The Dean Martin holiday favorite “Baby It’s Cold Outside” has seen a resurgence in popularity amid today’s #MeToo movement, which sees the classic as an ode to date rape.

And it’s because of that very nonsense that folks are once again enjoying the playful tune, but left-wing activist/actress Rose McGowan is willing to double down on the liberal stupidity.

McGowan and her gender fluid partner Rain Dove — you can’t make this stuff up — released a bizarre video where they act out the lyrics in “Baby It’s Cold Outside.”

In the clip, Dove, whose full name is Rain Dove Dubilewski, plays the role of a creepy sexual predator being overly aggressive with McGowan, who displays hesitation and fear.

“It’s simple, we took the Lyrics from ‘BABY ITS COLD OUTSIDE” and made a ‘scene’ out of them,” the pair wrote in the description. “No singing, no cute beat to get lost in. Just the words. This was put together in 24 hours a production so bare with us, it was a quick turnaround because the subject matter came up so abruptly. There are some glitches but you will get the general gyst =D Also TRIGGER WARNING for anyone who is a survivor of sexual assault or gaslighting.”

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

Saying the song has been “deemed controversial and sexist by many,” they noted that it was put up for a vote and “allowed” to stay on air in many cities around the country.

“So, we decided to make a video reflecting a scene in which many believe the song represents in modern day,” they added. “Even though Frank Lesser may have felt the song was progressive at the time in which he wrote it- it wouldn’t be considered appropriate today to be so persistent after someone says no.”

The beloved crooner’s daughter Deana Martin told Fox News the liberal take on the popular song was “just insane.”

“When I heard it, I said, ‘This can’t possibly be.’ You know, it’s a sweet, flirty, fun holiday song that’s been around for 40 years for my dad. He did it in ’59,” Martin said. “But when I saw it, I tweeted, ‘I think this is crazy. What do you think?’ And then all of a sudden, it went viral.”

But so too did the sales, as Dean Martin’s “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” hit Billboard’s Top 10 on digital song sales.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’RE MISSING …

“Despite the controversy, or perhaps in part because of attention generated by it, a version of the song hits the top 10 of Billboard‘s Digital Song Sales chart for the first time,” Billboard reported.

Oh, and his daughter had this message for the haters:

Not that she wasn’t willing to have a little fun with the trumped up controversy:
