The left is still trying to make sense of what conservatives knew all along about Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Contrary to their hyper-dramatized fears about Kavanaugh’s appointment spelling the end of abortion rights, the new Justice joined with four liberal judges to turn down hearing a case that could have defunded Planned Parenthood at the state level.
Senior judicial analyst for Fox News, Andrew Napolitano, reiterated what many conservatives already knew about Kavanaugh as he faced the relentless attacks from the left: He makes decisions “based on the law “and will do “what he believes is the right thing.”
“This is a technical issue about the standing of a person to sue a state. This is not on the merits of whether or not Louisiana must spend this money,” Napolitano said on Fox News’ “The Story with Martha MacCallum” on Monday.
The Supreme Court voted not to take an appeals case involving Louisiana and Kansas seeking to cut off Planned Parenthood from receiving Medicaid funding. The decision on Monday was over the technical issue of whether a Medicaid recipient could challenge the decision to disqualify a provider under the Medicaid law.
Napolitano reminded viewers that Kavanaugh’s vote to not hear the case should not come as a surprise to conservatives who were well aware of his commitment to uphold settled law.
“I have to say the right to life community, Brett Kavanaugh may very well be one of you but on the court, he makes a decision based on the law,” he said. “Assume that he is doing what he believes is the right thing.”
Liberals quick to mock conservatives over Kavanaugh’s decision to side with the liberal justices on the high court found the inevitable face-plants unavoidable.
BREAKING: I’m not at all a fan of Brett Kavanaugh, but he has just sided with the liberal justices forcing the Supreme Court to decline hearing a case to defund Planned Parenthood.
Conservatives have to be going crazy right now!

But I was told Kavanaugh would personally overturn Roe v Wade!!!! Probably barechested, riding in on horseback after losing his temper, whilst drinking beer and eating bacon.

Adam Best, founder of the blog FanSided, stepped on a rake as he took a jab at conservatives over Kavanaugh’s decision Monday.
Kavanaugh was confirmed despite being unfit because the GOP wanted him to legislate a conservative agenda from the bench. They must be shocked that he didn’t vote with Alito, Gorsuch and Thomas on Planned Parenthood. Gotta hate it when your far-right rubber stamp malfunctions!
— Adam Best (@adamcbest) December 10, 2018
But Best’s mockery, like that of all liberals looking to deride Kavanaugh’s supporters, backfired in a self-own that Twitter users happily exposed.
This is the dumbest take I’ve ever seen.
— Alana Mastrangelo (@ARmastrangelo) December 10, 2018
This is pretty much a self own. The only people that thought he was gonna overturn Roe were liberals.
— Codename Dutchess (@Jimmy_Stick) December 10, 2018
Or he is the man of principle that the republicans said he was and not the monster you people tried to claim.
— mayonaze (@hollymayo) December 10, 2018
Conservatives insisted Kavanaugh be confirmed because he was an impeccably credentialed jurist who was being falsely smeared as a sex criminal.
It’s ok if he occasionally diverges from what we prefer. Long term, I doubt Best will be crowing much.
— InTheRightColumn (@TheRightColumn) December 11, 2018
Actually, it was the Lefts narrative, that he was nominated to legislate a conservative agenda. Essentially, you’re attacking your own sides narrative…
— Jesse (@JesseAndRippers) December 10, 2018
The Left is incapable of self-reflection. They see their own hysterical overreaction being proven ridiculous by rationalizing it through projection. They can’t conceive their prejudices imposed onto us could be wrong. Everything validates their beliefs. Its really remarkable. https://t.co/ACxRa1ebrZ

We’re ok, but thanks for asking. https://t.co/Y5jou0nquF
— Mike?? ⭐⭐⭐ (@mikeandersonsr) December 11, 2018
This is so dumb. What conservatives knew and liberals refused to listen to was that Kavanaugh was always going to vote the way he did today https://t.co/nETBWFiBDp
— Nikki Haley Fan Snake (@sssssssnek) December 11, 2018
Unless, of course, you completely misunderstood why he was nominated… i.e., he’s qualified. Just sayin’. https://t.co/salkfoEuLp
— Ray J. Carbone (@WriterRayNH) December 10, 2018
Progressives seem to be expert contortionists when getting owned on the obvious.
It’s a ploy…trojan horse….
— mb cogswell (@mbcogswell) December 10, 2018
this is strategy. he is voting moderate now. you just wait.
— stephanie b. (@stefenenick) December 10, 2018
Seems pretty likely that this is his token “See? I don’t hate women” vote that he will now use as leverage against 30 years to come of rampant judicial sexism.

And now he is disgusted with the party and maybe Roberts has decided that the stolen Garland Seat and the whole suspicious why did Kennedy retire now has put the reputation of the court on the line and he is trying like hell to maintain their non-political reputation
— Tracy Ann ? ?? (@FiestyLiberal75) December 10, 2018
Seems liberals will continue the spin, as long as they don’t have to admit they were wrong about Kavanaugh the whole time.
And just think, you wanted to ruin his life. https://t.co/sw1n7J6mLn
