Joy Behar reportedly loses it off-air, threatens to quit over Meghan McCain: ‘Get this b*tch under control!’

What the public saw Monday when “The View” co-hosts Joy Behar and Meghan McCain sparred on air before a fellow host threw the show to commercial was only a part of what really happened.

“My God! Get this b-tch under control!” Behar shrieked in fury after the show went to commercial, according to an inside source who spoke with the Daily Mail.

“If this sh-t doesn’t stop I’m quitting this damn show. I can’t take this much more,” she continued so loudly that the audience heard it, prompting producers to hop on stage to try and deescalate the feud.

“I’ve tolerated a lot of sh-t on this show, but I’m at my wits’ end with this entitled b-itch. Enough already! Enough already! I’m not playing nice any longer!”

In response, McCain’s face reportedly grew red, and she meekly replied, “I don’t know why she’s so upset. I just wanted her to focus on President Bush and not bring Trump into this for once.”

Watch the original altercation below:

The altercation broke out after McCain reprimanded Behar for hijacking a discussion about the late former President George H.W. Bush to throw shade on the current president.

“Can we focus on the president, please? I don’t want to talk about Trump,” McCain, the daughter of recently deceased Sen. John McCain, pleaded with Behar after her co-host interrupted a discussion about Bush’s legacy to talk about President Donald Trump.

“Well, I do [want to talk about Trump] for a second, so excuse me. Excuse for a second, please. I want to talk about the difference,” the 76-year-old talk show veteran fired back.

“Okay, but we’re honoring a great president in the past. I’m not interested in your one-issue voter talk,” McCain rebutted, suggesting that her co-host was trying to twist the tribute to score political points.

I don’t care what you’re interested in, I’m talking!” Behar bellowed in veritable fire and fury.

“Well I don’t care what you’re interested in either,” McCain aggressively replied, spurring co-host Whoopi Goldberg to abruptly cut in and announce a commercial break.

While everything seemed on the up and up when the show returned from break, that wasn’t the case during the commercial break. As noted by the source, all hell broke loose.

“Everyone was frantic,” the Daily Mail’s source said. “The last thing they wanted was for Joy to walk off the show. She’s done that before. Remember the Bill O’Reilly situation?”

During a discussion in 2010 about a mosque that Muslims in New York City were trying to build near the location of the Sept. 11 attacks, Behar and fellow co-host Whoopi Goldberg stormed off the set when then-Fox News host Bill O’Reilly rightly pointed out that Muslim terrorists had perpetrated the attack.

Watch:

“She appeared just as disgusted as she did that day, and they only had two minutes to contain this explosion on set and get everyone positioned to return for the next live segment,” the Daily Mail’s source continued. “It was utter chaos on set.”

Until the show returned from break, that is.

Despite the shocking intensity of Behar’s anger, the feud wasn’t exactly unexpected. She and McCain have constantly battled ever since the young Republican joined the show last year.

The disputes briefly ended when McCain returned to the show Oct. 6 following a brief hiatus after her her late father’s death in August, in part because the producers asked her co-hosts to handle her delicately because she was “very fragile” and “still in deep grief.”

“Producers have been fearful that things were becoming combustible again with Behar and McCain after a few tense exchanges on air, but were hoping the two could make it through until the December hiatus later this month so that everyone could have a few weeks to relax. As you see, that didn’t happen,” the source said.

The latest fracas prior to Monday occurred in April, when McCain duked it out with Behar after her older cohort took a classless dig at first lady Melania Trump.

Watch:

According to the Daily Mail’s source, the latest feud has been resolved for now.

“Following the live Monday show, neither woman spoke to each other and producers and network executives met with them individually in their dressing rooms,” the Mail reported.

For now everything looks OK, though the source is confident there’ll be more feuds soon enough: “This isn’t the last you’ve seen of these two coming to blows. You can trust and believe that.”

Nor is it likely Behar will be the only one McCain feuds with. The source noted that the young conservative is known as “The Ice Princess” and “Elsa” from the film “Frozen” because of her cold demeanor. The source also referred to her as “toxic.”

“As toxic as she may be and all the hell she raises behind the scenes, the truth is The View‘s ratings are up and ABC is turning a blind eye to Meghan’s awful behavior because of it. And unless the ratings drop or Meghan actually quits, she’s not going anywhere anytime soon,” the source concluded.

According to social media, maybe it’s the show itself that’s “toxic”:

Some also noted the irony of Behar calling McCain a “b-tch,” given how she reacted when rock star legend Kid Rock recently jokingly referred to her with the same term.
