James Woods poked fun at Avenatti on Twitter and whoa Nelly did he bring down the wrath on ‘Jimbo’

James Woods made an emotional and financial plea for Michael Avenatti but the celebrity lawyer did not appreciate the move one bit.

The conservative actor’s tweet attempting to be helpful only poked the embattled lawyer into a rage.

Woods tweeted in reaction to a Politico story on Sunday stating “Avenatti crashes and burns.”

According to Politico’s Natasha Korecki:

Michael Avenatti’s cable TV bookings have dwindled. He was uninvited from one prominent Democratic event and skipped out on another. Now his highest-profile client is bringing new allegations against him.

In just a matter of weeks, Avenatti’s fortunes have taken a nosedive, rapidly downshifting him from 2020 presidential prospect to political pariah.

Avenatti, who represented porn star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against President Donald Trump as well as Julie Swetnick who in September accused then-Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct, has faced his own accusers, getting arrested on domestic violence allegations in Los Angeles last month.

With his world seeming to crash down around him, the lawyer told Politico he believed his chances at a proposed 2020 presidential bid are even better looking amid the bad reports.

“I think my chances have only gone up, not gone down,” he said.

When Woods offered some sympathy and asked for a crowdfunding page to be set up to help Avenatti, he triggered an explosive reaction.

Clearly forgetting that sage advice for people living in glass houses, the 47-year-old fired back.

Woods followed up with a call for the hyper-sensitive lawyer to “relax” in a tweet that was later removed.

Twitter users gave Woods a collective thumbs-up as many mocked Avenatti’s threats against him.
