Fox News host Tucker Carlson and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino are disgusted by the left’s deafening silence on the weaponization of US intelligence agencies to settle personal scores and punish political enemies.
A shocking recent case suggests there was widespread corruption involving special counsel Robert Mueller during his tenure as FBI director.
Dennis Nathan Cain, a whistle-blower, recently turned over documents to the Department of Justice, Congress, and to the Senate Intelligence Committee.
The documents allegedly showed that federal officials — notably, then-FBI Robert Mueller — ignored the cozy, unethical relationship between former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation, and a Russian company called Rosatom that purchased Uranium One.
Instead of protecting Cain as a whistle blower, 16 FBI agents raided his Maryland home for six hours on November 19.
When the FBI agents arrived at Cain’s house, he notified them that he was a whistleblower whose protected status was recognized by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz. They ignored him.
Tucker Carlson discussed the stunning developments with former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino, author of “Spygate: The Attempted Sabotage of Donald J. Trump.”
Bongino remarked: “Having been a former federal agent myself this is deeply disturbing…You don’t typically raid a whistleblower’s house. The whole idea of being a whistleblower is you are providing information voluntarily to assist a law enforcement. Why you would raid the house is puzzling.”
“Some people believe that this could be really bad for the Clintons and be kind of a tying-up of the Clinton Foundation case that appears to be being investigated by John Huber right now, the United States attorney.
The people involved in this Uranium One case are all people who are knee-deep in the Spygate saga.
Rod Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, was a prosecuting United States attorney on the precursor case to Uranium One. Bob Mueller was the FBI director [on that disaster].
So forgive me for not being willing to give everyone a pass on a suspicious raid on a whistle-blower’s home. I’m not taking anybody at their word anymore — and neither should you.”
Tucker Carlson said what’s appalling is that the leftist media are not demanding an investigation into the mass weaponization of the FBI to settle personal grudges.
“For generations, the left elevated the idea of whistle-blowing to a sanctified place,” Carlson recounted. “Whistle-blowers were protected. They are protected in law and they’re protected because liberals wanted them protected. And yet I haven’t heard anybody at the left complain about the FBI raid on this guys house. Why is that?”
Dan Bongino said it’s because of the left’s pathological, irrational hatred of President Trump.
Bongino said the left — which previously defended civil liberties (like protection against unreasonable searches) — have completely abandoned those principles in their quest to destroy anyone who’s anti-Democrat or pro-Trump
“They have now flipped the script entirely to actually defending weaponized government,” he observed. “It’s unbelievable the transformation that we see.”
Bongino added: “It’s not in dispute that there are serious abnormalities in the way that Donald Trump investigation has been conducted, versus the way the Clinton investigation and the Uranium One investigations were sidelined. But nobody is even remotely curious on the left about this. It’s really incredible.”
