Kid Rock was plugging the opening of his Nashville steakhouse on “Fox & Friends” on Friday when he skewered Joy Behar, calling the snooty liberal the ‘B-word” live on air.
Asked how President Donald Trump is doing, Kid Rock gave the president a winning grade before launching into a short lecture on people relaxing and trying to get along better in the country.
“I think the president’s doing a great job with his policies,” the popular rocker said. “I wish, you know, I heard you earlier in a bumper asking people what was their biggest concern and mine would be just, you know the division in the country right now.”
He went on to say that people need to understand that “we can disagree and still be cordial with one another … and just talk about things without going for each other’s throats and protesting everything.”
“God forbid you say something a little bit wrong,” Kid Rock continued. “You’re racist, homophobic, Islamophobic. This, that and the other. People need to calm down, get a little less politically correct.”
He was knocking it out of the park, at least until he mentioned “The View” co-host Joy Behar.
“And I would say, you know, love everybody,” he added. “Except I’d say screw that Joy Behar bitch. Everybody but that.”
“I mean lady. I mean lady,” Rock quickly replied, when co-host Steve Doocy protested. “Maybe we’ll go on and I’ll hash it out with her and we’ll talk about.”
“Aside from joking, which I was, is just go out and hash it out with people and have your thoughts and ideas but, be able to still go have a beer with somebody and just say hey, you know, we all love this country, let’s have different ideas, but try to move forward and be more together and realize at the end of the day, we’re all Americans.”
When prodded to apologize for his language, Kid Rock put a nice bow on things, “I did apologize for the language. Not the sentiment.”
