Agents tell their side, since media wouldn’t: Migrants used kids as ‘human shields’ in border patrol assault

As the mainstream media downplay the violence that erupted at the US-Mexico border, border-patrol agents on the ground say they are being assaulted by migrants and are urging Congress to build a wall to prevent further confrontations.

“Our agents were under attack. They were assaulted,” Hector Garza — the vice president of the National Border Patrol Council — told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. “These migrants were throwing rocks, glass bottles, and other debris. Some of our agents were hit on their heads.”

Garza continued: “There was also damage to government vehicles; their windows were broken. So this was an assault. This was an invasion on our agents, and on our country. And our agents had to respond with a very low level of force, which was the tear gas that was deployed.”

Liberals are rabidly condemning the use of nonviolent force to disperse the hundreds of migrants who tried to storm the port of entry at San Ysidro, California this weekend.

But Hector Garza pointed out that the migrants intentionally used women and children as human shields as they assaulted border-patrol agents with rocks and bottles.

About 90% of the migrant caravans are young men, according to multiple press reports. The few women and children scattered throughout are merely being used as props to promote leftist propaganda.

Mexican and Guatemalan officials said the callous use of women and children as shields on the front line was done deliberately — to stoke public outrage at border patrol agents and at President Trump.

“These migrants were using children as human shields as they were launching rocks at our agents,” Garza said. “They had no regard for human life. They did not care about other migrants. They did not care about the kids. Our agents did a great job by using tear gas to disperse the crowd.”

As BizPac Review reported, the Obama administration deployed pepper spray on migrants who threw rocks while trying to rush the San Ysidro port of entry — the same place they tried to storm this weekend.

Naturally, the public and the media did not condemn the Obama White House for its use of reasonable force.

Garza said unlike what happened at the Guatemala-Mexico border, US border patrol agents will not capitulate to invading migrants.

“If these people think they’re going to do the same thing they did on the Guatemala-Mexico border, they’re wrong. Our agents are properly trained, they’re going to use reasonable force.

Our agents could have been justified to use to a higher level of force but they did not. They used a very low level of force, and they were successful.”

Garza then pleaded with Congress to fund the border wall, saying it will prevent further confrontations with illegal migrants. The caravans are going to keep coming, and they’re going to get bigger — leading to further clashes with authorities.

“That’s why Congress needs to act. We have to make sure that we do build that wall, so we can avoid these confrontations. Otherwise, people will end up getting hurt.

These caravans needs to stop. So Mexico has to do their job by helping us on the southern border.”

President Trump said that Mexico must step up to stem the hordes of migrants from stampeding the US border. If not, he vowed to halt US financial aid to Mexico — a hefty financial package that totals $320 million a year.

The US has given $2.6 billion in financial aid to Honduras, Guatemala, and El Salvador since 2014. President Trump has threatened to cut off that gravy train, and to close the border permanently if the migrant caravans continue their invasions.
