A dashcam video went viral after a man at a traffic stop was caught on camera in an intense shootout with a an Arkansas police officer. It would later be reported that the man attempting to kill the officer was in the country illegally.
Viewers stare down the barrel of the man’s gun as he gets out of his car during a traffic stop and opens fire on Washington County Sheriff’s Corporal Brett Thompson. Bullets rain down as Thompson scrambled to return fire, the stress the officer is under can be heard as he attempts to radio for assistance.

The gunman, 29-year-old Luis Cobos-Cenobio, is in the country illegally and refused to stop at first, Fox News reported, and when he did pull over it was to kill the officer.
After the gunfight, the illegal alien jumped back into his car a sped off, but stopped quickly to release a female passenger who was shaken to the core.
Fayetteville Police and Arkansas State Police caught up with Cobos-Cenobio about a half hour later and he once again opened fire.
Wounded in the left arm and shoulder, he was eventually taken into custody — no one else was injured, thankfully,
“We are so thankful Corporal Thompson, all other officers who were involved, as well as citizens who were in the areas of the incident, were unharmed,” the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Jailed on $500,000 bond, Cobos-Cenobio faces multiple charges, including four counts of attempted capital murder, committing a terroristic act, fleeing, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Fox News.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has also placed a detainer on him — a detainer that’s sure to be honored.
