Americans voting with their feet is as old as the country itself, much to the chagrin of red states that often feature lower taxes and more fiscally responsible budgeting.
Looking to escape high taxes, red tape and crime, Democrats have been making it a habit of late to look for greener pastures in red states, bringing with them the same liberal mindset that created the scenario they are fleeing. Colorado come to mind?
All of which appears to be news to Pam Keith, a two-time failed Democrat candidate in Florida, who took to social media to call on fellow liberals to move to red states to tip the political balance.
“Hey Blue State Dems: Have you considered moving to a red state? A migration of only 50k people would turn some red states blue for the Senate & electoral college. Think about it. Wide open spaces, low cost of living & an outsized say in our politics. Indeed, 75k would flip FL,” Keith tweeted.

With the governor’s race being decided by fewer than 40,000 votes in Florida in favor of the Republican candidate, Ron DeSantis, and the U.S. Senate seat slipping away to Republican Gov. Rick Scott at just over 12,000 votes, Democrats in the Sunshine State are smarting.
Besides, it’s not like New York isn’t already moving to Florida one Democrat at a time.
Keith, who lost the Democratic primary for Florida’s 18th Congressional District this year and the US Senate primary in 2016, is calling for an invasion of red states along the lines of the migrant caravan marching on the southern border, as she advocates for moving entire communities at the same time.
I know. But I am advocating an Amish approach. Move as a community, several families at a time to bring work and support. It makes a difference
— Pam Keith, Esq. (@PamKeithFL) November 15, 2018
And there are millions of Americans who STILL take Democrats seriously?
Besides, we know how much Democrats detest bitter Americans in flyover country who cling to guns, religion and antipathy.
Keith is so committed to her proposal that she was coaching others who responded, tipping off which states she has in her sights while replying to one liberal who said she was “getting the hell out of here.”
The states she named include: Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
Ok. But please move to a state where you can make a difference. Arizona, Colorado, North Carolina, Pennsylvania all come to mind.

“Bring a squad with you,” the Democrats told one social media user who complained about how much of a hell it is to live in a red state.
Don’t do it alone!! Bring squad with you, if you can. Build a network of support if you can’t. Find other folks in the area who feel isolated too. Go to Farmer’s markets, yoga studios, organic grocers, craft breweries, foreign language meet ups, dance classes.Just some suggestions.

Keith’s ‘idea’ isn’t exacly groundbreaking, as constiutents from highly taxed blue states have been leaving in droves.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is well aware that his state is under siege, and according to a recent study from Heritage Foundation it’s likely to get worse:
If you're abandoning California for Texas, just remember the reason you are escaping high taxes & burdensome regulations. We plan to KEEP Texas, Texas! https://t.co/57LcSqHVPa

Economists predict 1.3 million Americans will leave Blue states like California for Red states like Texas in the next 3 years because of high taxes
Over the past decade, 3.5 million have relocated from high-tax to low-tax states
The left destroys everything it touches

The main concern, and it’s a great one, is that many who flee liberal states astonishingly bring their support for liberal laws with them – and they vote.
Case in point:
#Colorado likely to adopt California’s low-emission vehicle standards:
Opponents say new statewide standard would make cars a lot more expensive without making them a lot cleaner: https://t.co/rxmnZJIjlq via @AnnaStaver#copolitics #coleg #tcot #gop @hickforco @jaredpolis pic.twitter.com/QGAooWMgbB— Colorado Senate Republicans (@ColoSenGOP) November 16, 2018
The people that moved to Colorado are finally succeeding in Californicating Colorado. Native Coloradoans will soon be paying California gas prices and California taxes.

That is how it works, as one astute Twitter user explained in a well thought out thread:
I’ve seen this process play out in Florida. It begins with arrivals from blue states complaining about the crapholes they fled, then lecturing the locals about how “you people do everything wrong down here,” sometimes within a few breaths. This is very amusing to locals at first.

You might ask yourself, “Why the heck would rich businessmen fleeing Democrat dumpster fires vote for Dems in their new state? Why vote for the policies you ran away from?”
— John Hayward (@Doc_0) November 7, 2018
If you’ve spent any time on a college campus at all, you know Number 2 is the big reason socialism endures. It’s a great system that has never been properly implemented by the Right People. It will work GREAT if kept clean of corruption. Corruption is the only reason it fails.
— John Hayward (@Doc_0) November 7, 2018
Only, the policies they support promote corruption by tipping the scale of power to the almightly government.
Here’s a sampling of responses from those who don’t think liberal migration is such a keen idea:
Oh, look. Another caravan.

Well this is a horrifying comment…

Hey unruly children, now that your rooms are a complete uninhabitable mess, why not you & your fellow Socialist comrade-kiddies move your unsustainable, miserable circus to one of the moral, clean kid's rooms.
Once enuf of you do, we can push them out & turn IT into a pigsty. 🤔 https://t.co/tqgPvj7yw6
— Gerard de Marigny (@GerarddeMarigny) November 16, 2018
Political migration? Partisanship truly HAS consumed some people's minds.
Live where you want to live, or need to live for your family. If you want to move for some kind of politics-as-religion fulfillment, it's your right, but don't let some politician pressure you. #eyeroll https://t.co/5bQbutL7su

Majority in Florida are already Yankee transplants…

Do you know why there is a low cost of living? Because of the way our states are governed! But you want to screw that up.
— Jim Verdi (@jjverdi) November 16, 2018
Why not stick to destroying your own states and leave the rest of us alone
— Jim Verdi (@jjverdi) November 16, 2018
Maybe try voting red in your own state to support the same policies that make red states better places to live
