Freshly-elected House Democrat calls white Tennessee Republicans ‘uneducated’ racists

As House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi found out Tuesday when democratic socialist Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez participated in a protest in her office on her first day in DC, today’s class of Democrats are something to behold.

Radical hard left views are now the norm from a group of bold young progressives who are much more militant than their elders. People like incoming Tennessee state House Rep. London Lamar, a black woman who called Republicans in her state — see white people — uneducated racists.

“Let’s just call a spade a spade. Tennessee is racist. Period,” Lamar said in the video. “Period. Like, Tennessee is racist.”

There’s no subtly there… but to ensure clarity she specifically named “white people,” before proceeding to call them stupid.

“Most of the Tennesseans who voted Republican are uneducated. So, they don’t even know that they showed up to the polls to vote against their own interest,” she added. “They literally voted on color lines.”

Lamar was then asked is she still believes Tennessee is racist, as she claimed.

“I think Tennessee is very polarized,” the newly elected Democrat said, avoiding a direct answer. “And I think that we need to continue to have conversations about how Tennessee can work on behalf of everybody.”

Lamar, president of the Tennessee Young Democrats and once the vice-chair of the Black Caucus of the Young Democrats of America, according to her website, ran for office unopposed.

(We do indeed get the government we deserve.)

But don’t worry, the full-throated racist apologized for smearing white Republicans in Tennessee, so it’s all good and we can move on now.

“After a review of the numbers after the midterm election, I felt the need to record a Facebook live video to discuss the numbers from both Tennessee and nationwide,” Lamar wrote on Facebook. “My comments did not intend to make a generalization about every white person who voted Republican. The truth about a large number of those who responded with their vote for Republican candidates this election cycle is, they voted in response to the racially charged rhetoric that has come from our President.”
