Yep, it’s racism. MSNBC’s Joy Reid says Broward SOE Brenda Snipes’ mistreated as an ‘older black woman in the deep South’

In response to concerns about potential election tampering in Florida by scandal-plagued Broward County elections supervisor Brenda Snipes, a black woman, MSNBC host Joy Reid has cried “racism.”

“Here is the way they are treating Brenda Snipes, who is the long-time Election Supervisor there, who by the way is an older black woman in the Deep South,” she said during the Saturday broadcast of MSNBC’s “AM Joy” before playing a video of Snipes’ critics calling for her removal.

“Just keep that in mind as you watch this video,” she added, suggesting the elections supervisor’s race plays a role in the mounting criticism against her.

Watch:

In positing this theory, the race-baiting host ignored a mountain of evidence against Snipes.

In May a judge ruled that Snipes, a Democrat, had violated state and federal laws by illegally destroying ballots for the 2016 congressional primary race between her leftist ally, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and Tim Canova, who ran as an Independent.

Later this year in August, a judge again ruled against Snipes after the Florida GOP reportedly filed a suit against her claiming her office “was opening ballots in private, preventing people from challenging if they were properly cast,” according to Fox News.

“And then in 2016, Broward County violated the law when it posted early voting results online before polls even closed,” the outlet added.

Her latest antics include allowing private trucks to transport ballots in the dead of night, “accidentally” mixing bad ballots with good ones, refusing to comply with court orders and taking an extraordinary amount of time to accomplish a task that nearly every other elections supervisor in America has already managed to complete.

Yet according to Reid, criticism of Snipes is rooted in racism, and the crowds of protesters who’ve been marching outside the Broward County elections headquarters are engaging in “intimidation.”

“The same kind of intimidation tactics that we saw in 2000, they are rolling them out again, which makes people suspicious,” she said during an earlier part of “AM Joy.”

Listen:

It’s unclear what she meant by 2000, since the evidence shows that the Democrats and their far-left media allies were the ones who at the time waged a veritable war against then-Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris, the elected Republican official who played a key role in determining the outcome of the highly contested 2000 presidential election.

“Think Trump was out of line for calling Hillary Clinton a ‘nasty woman’ in the third 2016 debate?” notes Breitbart. “That’s nothing compared to the all-out misogynist war our tolerant and sensitive liberal friends waged against Florida Secretary of State Katherine Harris in 2000. Her appearance, and especially her use of makeup, were relentlessly mocked.”

It’s unclear whether Reid complained about her mistreatment at the time, though the suspicion is that she didn’t, since it was Harris who decided after several vote counts in Florida that then-GOP presidential nominee George W. Bush had beaten then-Democrat nominee Al Gore.

The reaction on social media to Reid’s latest bout of race-baiting has been critical.

Look:

Reid is notorious for using race-baiting tactics to distort the issues. At the start of the year she accused Fox News host Tucker Carlson of being a “white nationalist” because he opposes illegal immigration.

And last year she briefly pivoted from race-baiting to outright racism, issuing a shocking statement saying that the Democrat Party should ditch its white constituents and focus only on minorities.

But according to her, it’s the rest of the world that’s racist…
