Dan Crenshaw turns tables on Pete Davidson in surprise SNL appearance. The difference? Class.

Former Navy SEAL Dan Crenshaw made a surprise appearance on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and proved that not only does he have a sense of humor, but that you can be funny and still have a little class.

Crenshaw, who was elected to Congress on Tuesday, was the target of comedian and actor Pete Davidson last week in the run up to the midterm election, with the liberal soy boy mocking the veteran for losing an eye while serving in Afghanistan, going so far as to compare the Texan to “a hitman in a porno movie.”

Davidson offered an apology to viewers for his crass remarks before being joined by Crenshaw on “Weekend Update Tonight,” where he also apologized directly.

“In what I’m sure was a huge shock for people who know me, I made a poor choice last week,” Davidson said.

The congressman-elect roasted Davidson good, beginning by thanking the comedian for “making a Republican look good.”

After apologizing, Davidson noted that Crenshaw lost his eye while serving in his third combat tour of Afghanistan and asked if they are now “good.”

The veteran assured him they were, just as his phone rings — the ring tone being an Ariana Grande song, which was a playful jab at Davidson’s high profile breakup with the recording artist.

In what was the equivalent of low hanging fruit, Crenshaw was given an opportunity to make fun of a few photos of Davidson. He proceeded to mocked his now former adversary for his looks, calling him a troll doll with a tapeworm and comparing him to Martin Short in “Santa Clause 3.”

“By the way, one of these people was actually good on SNL,” Crenshaw deadpanned to a split photo of Davidson and Short.

Crenshaw then took a serious tone to talk about lessons learned and appreciating the service of veterans, this coming on Veteran’s Day weekend — all of which proved that the liberals behind SNL can get it right when properly motivated.

“But seriously, there’s a lot of lessons to learn here,” he told viewers. “Not just that the left and the right can still agree on some things, but also this, Americans can forgive one another.”
