MSNBC guest slammed for claiming prominent conservatives & news sites ‘have blood on their hands’

Have we reached a point of no return in America when it comes to our politics and the effort on the left to shut down opposing speech?

The liberal media has become almost rabid in their desperation to destroy President Donald Trump, as seen in the fanatic attempt to blame the president for the shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue and for last week’s mail bombings.

Anti-Trump networks CNN and MSNBC are allowing unhinged commentary to flow unchecked, as seen Monday when “former” Republican strategist Steve Schmidt went after conservative media in a blistering attack on White House aide Kellyanne Conway, who said the Jew-hating gunman who killed 11 people Saturday at the Tree of Life synagogue was driven by religious hatred.

“The propaganda industry that she commands with the vile president that she serves, abetted by Mark Levin, and Rush Limbaugh, and Breitbart, and NewsBusters, and Judicial Watch and all the rest of them, have blood on their hands for the incitements that they have made that have triggered and radicalized these crazy people,” Schmidt said on MSNBC’s “All In.”

The Trump Derangement Syndrome on display in this country is getting downright scary, with those who say Trump is a purveyor of hate incapable of seeing the blind hatred they are projecting.

And the campaign against Trump appears to have reached a new phase, which is to hold conservative media accountable for perceived consequences of the president’s actions. The end result being to shut down outlets that offer a counter to the liberal narrative — this being the “alternate reality” that Schmidt referenced.

A phase that moves beyond the subtle attempt seen by the social media giants to shut down smaller media players on the right to an open season on all conservative leaning outlets, to include Fox News.

Schmidt also said the suspect behind the mail bombs “was radicalized by Fox News, by talk radio, by a right-wing propaganda machine that is as sophisticated as it has turned deadly.”

Max Boot, another convenient conservative who shows up on the liberal networks to bash Trump, said the president and his rhetoric are responsible for the recent events and called for an advertiser boycott of Fox News during an appearance on CNN.

Lost on this self-serving crowd is that accusing the President of the United States of fostering violence is incitement that may lead to more violence.

Not that we’re likely to see any less of it, as indignant “Republicans,” people like Ana Navarro and Rick Wilson, appearing on networks that all but dedicate 24/7 coverage to destroying Trump, to bash him has become a lucrative industry all to itself.

Mark Levin responded online to Schmidt’s attack and it wasn’t pleasant.

“Steve Schmidt is a sick bastard and MSNBC should fire this hate-monger,” Levin tweeted. “He has an unhinged, disgusting an obviously anti-Semitic obsession with me.”

In a second tweet, Levin questioned whether Schmidt was a bigot, as he labeled his remarks “hate speech.”

“Is MSNBC’s Steve Schmidt a bigot? He has a curious obsession with conservative Jews. That would be the same MSNBC that employs Al Sharpton and Joy Reid, by the way. NBC/MSNBC Seems to have a high tolerance for hate speech,” he tweeted.

But then, former Secret Servce agent Dan Bongino summed things up nicely when it comes to Schmidt.

“Steve Schmidt is an intergalactic laughingstock. He’s a boot-licking clown who sucks up to MSNBC in a desperate attempt to stay employed. He’s an embarrassment to an embarrassing network. Serious people use him as a punchline,” he tweeted.
