Senator Claire McCaskill is distancing herself from the “crazy Democrats” in her party as polls show her in a dead heat against her Trump-endorsed GOP rival, Missouri attorney general Josh Hawley.
When asked to identify who are the “crazy Democrats” referenced in her new campaign ad, McCaskill floated the names of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders, but carefully stopped short of directly calling them crazy.
“I would not call my colleagues crazy, BUT Elizabeth Warren sure went after me when I advocated tooling back some of the regulations for small banks and credit unions,” McCaskill told Fox News host Bret Baier.
She added: “I certainly disagree with Bernie Sanders on a bunch of stuff. [That separates] me, I think, from some of the knee-jerk folks that just are against the president no matter what.”
“The crazy Democrats are people who walk in restaurants and scream in elected officials’ faces.
We have a state senator here in Missouri [Maria Chappelle-Nadal] that actually advocated for the assassination of President Trump. That’s a crazy Democrat.”
In a radio ad last week, the narrator assured Missouri voters that “Claire’s not one of those crazy Democrats.”
The ad underscores the lengths to which vulnerable Democrats like McCaskill are going to distance themselves from the violent rhetoric and radical-left political positions of today’s Democrat Party.
The GOP has an excellent chance to flip McCaskill’s seat after President Trump endorsed her Republican opponent Josh Hawley in Missouri — a state Trump won by 20 points.
Democrats — who in the past opposed illegal immigration and supported a border wall — are now championing the mass caravan of illegal immigrants en route to the United States to demand entry.
McCaskill claims she supports President Trump’s enforcement of longstanding federal immigration laws by not allowing the migrant caravan into the country.
The Trump administration said the caravan is fraught with fraudulent asylum seekers, as evidenced by the fact that many of the self-proclaimed “refugees” have refused political asylum offered by Mexico.
“I do not want our borders overrun,” McCaskill said. “And I support the president’s efforts to make sure they’re not.”
Despite McCaskill’s pro-Trump rhetoric, she and her staff were caught on undercover videos admitting that she routinely lies about her political positions in order to win over moderate Republican voters, as BizPac Review reported.
Missouri Republicans probably won’t like the fact that Claire voted against the confirmation of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Three weeks ago, McCaskill was also caught on video hiding from the media at a town hall. Keep in mind that Claire McCaskill is running on a platform of government transparency while literally hiding from the press.
Patriots, please vote on November 6. America’s future depends on you.
