Notorious race-baiter Rev. Al Sharpton believes that President Donald Trump’s decision to allow Turning Points USA to host its Young Black Leadership Summit at the White House this year is somehow, someway wrong and perhaps even blatantly racist.
“It’s one of the lowest things he could ever do,” Sharpton complained Friday evening on MSNBC. “To go in the East Room, which is sacred, have a staged rally. Notice that all of those youngsters had caps on. It was almost like we’re going to dress you for the photo. And to call it a young black leader summit ….”
Though some of the hundreds of black conservatives who attended the summit did wear “Make America Great Again” and “BLEXIT” hats, they did so of their own volition. Sharpton nevertheless appears to be among the seemingly bigoted Democrats who think blacks lack agency.
Note also that included among the so-called “youngsters” who attended the rally were HUD Secretary Ben Carson, 67; renowned political commentator Larry Elder, 66; and former Bush administration official Kay Coles James, 69.
“He raves about the violence in Chicago, which he should. Why weren’t they discussing that? Why weren’t they discussing student loans? Why weren’t they discussing issues of young blacks,” he added.
Many have wondered the same thing about him.
The president also attended and spoke at the event:
“They just had Kanye in there at least talking about criminal justice,” Sharpton concluded. “None of that. They’re in there talking about ‘CNN sucks.’ They’re in there talking about ‘build the wall.’ So why do you need a young black summit to do it? Because it wasn’t a summit. It was a ‘Make America Great’ rally.”
His brash remarks appeared rooted in ignorance, since it was in fact Turning Point USA that had organized the summit and set its agenda.
“Turning Point USA’s Young Black Leadership Summit is a conference for young, conservative blacks between the ages of 15 and 35. YBLS 2018 will be hosted October 25-28, 2018 in Washington, D.C.,” the conservative non-profit had announced earlier.
“Throughout the Summit, attendees will hear from some of the nation’s most well-known conservative leaders and activists, receive first-class professional development and leadership training, and network with other attendees and organizations from all across the country.”

Why then so much outrage from Sharpton? Because like other Democrats, he feels frightened by the notion of hundreds (if not millions) of black Americans openly supporting President Donald Trump and aligning themselves with the president’s conservative vision for America.
According to some on social media, he also feels quite jealous:
I think @TheRevAl is just jealous because @charliekirk11 and @RealCandaceO and @TheOfficerTatum can unite more black people than he can without a black person getting beat up or shot by a police officer #Blexit
— Dr.Darrell Scott (@PastorDScott) October 28, 2018
He’s very very jealous. He’s out and replaced as a “black leader” by non divisive Black Americans who want a future.
— John Hendricks (@jk_hendricks) October 28, 2018
@TheRevAl you are just jealous & worried because the young people are thinking for themselves & not listening to your crap anymore. The way you talk about them is shameful. You are trying to tell everyone else how to live & you break laws everyday when you don’t pay your taxes!
— Linda (@WBLane5) October 28, 2018
Every statement that comes out of your mouth is lie. Why don’t you pay your income bill that you managed to avoid for years. It wouldn’t have been a photo op if Obama or the Clintons held the event. Jealous and prejudice
— Louis D’Angelo (@ldangelo961) October 28, 2018
Stop your jealous bloviating and go pay your taxes Al. You’re no reverend because you defy everything represented by the title. Your speech is filled with hate and selfishness. Break free of the Democrat plantation like these brave men and women did.
— Republicifucankeepit (@dave_danner) October 28, 2018
Jealous Al Sharpton you can’t hold them back anymore..
— gina lepore (@LeporeGina) October 28, 2018
You’re just jealous because you were not invited and it was something positive, not something negative you could rant and rave about.
— William Alexander (@mrbill1434) October 28, 2018
Another jealous crappy politician who wouldn’t do much for his own people and community except take money from Trump.
Envious of what @POTUS is DOING FOR EVERY AMERICAN. A man that has done more for #YoungBlacks in less than 2 years, than you have ever done! #WWG1WGA
— Luis E. Rodriguez/El Profesor (@Bigef23) October 28, 2018
@TheRevAl Oh my. You are jealous about @realDonaldTrump waking up the Black Community. Sad. You should be praising this! They no longer will buy the lies of Barry Soetoro or the left which has become FAR LEFT Communists. #MAGA
— DeplorableDavid (@DavidPaulHurd) October 28, 2018
Many also blasted him for again donning the cloak of victimhood instead of following the lead of strong black conservatives like Candace Owens, Brandon Tatum and countless others.
.@TheRevAl I was there.
The young black leaders at #YBLS2018 were not “props” used by @realDonaldTrump.
However we’re ALL sick of blacks being YOUR props for the failed victimhood politics that you’ve peddled to our communities for DECADES. https://t.co/ojoermguAk
— Rob Smith ?? (@robsmithonline) October 27, 2018
@TheRevAl is upset at you for seeing behind the curtain of racial victimhood he’s been operating behind for years, for his own financial benefit. Young black leaders like yourself hold a threat to their stays quo like Trump threatens those swamp dwellers trying to attack him.
— Joe Gump (@mrj4nier) October 27, 2018
Rev Al (&those perpetuating victimhood vs resolving actual issues) profit off of racism. If race relations etc were to improve, actual positive strides made, it’d be a serious threat to his income. They’ll fight this vigorously w/the media they have at their disposal
— Michy Tish (@michy_tish) October 28, 2018
Are you scared, Al?
You know if black ppl reject your ‘muh racism’ BS, you will be out of a job/$. You are a parasite that feeds on racism, poverty,& victimhood. Black ppl are learning they can do anything they set their minds to, and they don’t need gov, Dems, or YOU to survive.
— ? Rayne Storm ? (@AcidRayneStorm) October 28, 2018
If young blacks develop confidence, ambition and individual agency, and don’t handicap themselves with a myth of perpetual victimhood, you’ll have fewer people to hustle with your race baiting lies, huh?
— Victor Erimita (@erimita_victor) October 28, 2018
YOU are shameful. Instead of actually helping the black community, you just make money off of your victimhood of blacks and your racism. Trump has record employment of blacks and wants to help them succeed. Sit down, and sthu.
