Poor Megyn Kelly. Her career has gone down in flames ever since she left Fox News after raising her profile by attacking President Trump. With her new “blackface” backlash, Megyn has now alienated her entire audience — on both the left and the right.
And few are coming to Kelly’s defense. That’s what happens when you virtue-signal to pander to leftists: You alienate the conservatives who once made your Fox News show one of the highest-rated shows on cable television.
Meanwhile, you quickly realize that liberals will never truly accept you when you try to migrate to “their side.” They only liked you when you were on the “other side” attacking President Trump and Republicans. And this is where Megyn Kelly is right now.
Kelly tearfully apologized on her show this morning after being blasted for saying she didn’t understand why dressing in blackface for Halloween is considered racist.
Megyn had cited the example of a white Diana Ross fan who wanted to pay homage to the pop star by dressing up as her for Halloween.
After being mercilessly attacked on social media, Kelly said she’s sorry. “I realize now that such behavior is indeed wrong, and I am sorry,” she said.
The brouhaha erupted after Megyn said the following, as BizPac Review reported:
“What is racist? You get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person that puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid, that was okay, as long as you were dressing up as a character.”
Very few people came to Megyn Kelly’s defense. And those that did — like Mediaite columnist John Ziegler — were themselves viciously slammed by leftist mobs on social media.
I love that no one can actually explain why Megyn Kelly is wrong, they just virtue signal as if it requires no explanation
I know MANY years ago blackface was used in a racist fashion, but I really don’t see how if a white kid wants to be a black hero for Halloween that’s racist https://t.co/7mkvz6VTJp

Actor James Woods spotlighted liberal hypocrisy when he responded to CNN pundit Kirsten Powers — who issued a blanket warning to all white people — saying they should be careful about dressing up as another race for Halloween.
Keep in mind that the point of Halloween is to dress up as something other than yourself.

Meanwhile, remember the liberal media uproar when leftist comedians Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Sarah Silverman did skits in blackface? Neither do we.

Liberals had no problem when Oprah Winfrey said she want “old white people” to die out.
Remember when Oprah said “Old White People Just have to die?” Yet, they call Trump the NAZI✊🏾✊🏾📎🤪 pic.twitter.com/AxruuoaMkZ

The liberal media jumped to the defense of racist New York Times editor Sarah Jeong, who repeatedly trashed white people, the police, and men on Twitter.
Jeong even called for white genocide in racist tweets spanning years, but liberals passionately defended and excused her racist rhetoric — because it was directed at whites.
Here’s a newsflash: Racism is racism — no matter which race it targets.
