A sitcom starring James Woods and Roseanne Barr?
Just felt like tweeting a pic of @therealroseanne. I don’t know why, just felt like it. pic.twitter.com/eH7Vu2EmwE

The unusual idea was floated by a Twitter user after the conservative actor tweeted a photo of Barr because he “felt like it.”

Woods tweeted about the actress last week amid reports that ABC executives were allegedly regretting their hasty decision to fire the comedian following her controversial tweet about an Obama aide which some condemned as racist.
Well, in general, firing the title character of any hit show (centered solely around that character) is hardly the apex of business acumen. This should be blatantly obvious to the most casual practitioner of programming. #Roseanne https://t.co/YZ5401BRGv

ABC was reportedly bracing for the reaction of viewers to the debut of the “Roseanne” spin-off without Barr, “The Conners,” fearing backlash from longtime fans of the actress.
“I hope she hijacks their asses for a fortune when they slip on the knee pads and start begging for her to come back,” Woods said.

Woods wondered aloud if ABC owned the “Roseanne” name and “what if another network decided to do a different Roseanne Barr sitcom?”
Serious question: does ABC own Roseanne’s name? I always heard that titles can’t be copyrighted. I’m probably wrong, but what if another network decided to do a different Roseanne Barr sitcom? What degree of material change is required? https://t.co/OqImQOizyG

Twitter users completely loved the idea of a Woods/Roseanne collaboration, launching some very creative suggested titles and story concepts.

Here is the setup… #Roseanne didn’t die but went into the witness protection program and now lives in a ultra #liberal town and must pretend to blend in. And you James are the #FBI agent that has to constantly keep her from revealing who she is…
You like it???

The good thing about this sitcom would be that she can play her old character but never mention the name Roseanne and not in any way conflict with the Conners. (Legally)
But we would all know who she really is…
— Patriot (@BonusesTrump) October 16, 2018
That would be awesome! Set your DVR’s now. Hopefully
