Stormy Daniels loses defamation lawsuit, has to pay Trump’s attorney fees; Avenatti responds to defeat

President Trump isn’t tired of winning yet. Trump scored another victory when a California federal court dismissed porn star Stormy Daniels’ defamation lawsuit and ordered her to pay Trump’s legal fees (totaling $293,052) — in a humiliating defeat for her “Creepy Porn Lawyer,” Michael Avenatti.

In dismissing the lawsuit, the judge said a tweet that Trump had posted about Daniels (see below) was “rhetorical hyperbole” rather than defamation and was protected by the First Amendment. Ha!

Trump attorney Charles Harder slam-dunked Avenatti, who opportunistically rose to fame by repeatedly attacking Trump, as BizPac Review has reported.

“No amount of spin or commentary by Stormy Daniels or her lawyer, Mr. Avenatti, can truthfully characterize today’s ruling in any way other than total victory for President Trump and total defeat for Stormy Daniels,” Harder said in his statement.

Such a classy broad: Stormy Daniels starred in over 275 porn films and reportedly earned less than $1,500 for each sex scene.

The widespread consensus among media analysts was that this was a total victory for President Trump.

“Big win for the Trump White House, and another loss for Michael Avenatti,” Josh Kraushaar of the National Journal told Fox News.

Townhall’s Guy Benson agreed. “Michael Avenatti is the gift that keeps on giving. We’re in an age of petty politics. This is a petty win, but a satisfying win for the White House.

The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway noted that Avenatti was partly responsible for getting Trump nominee Brett Kavanaugh confirmed to the Supreme Court with his client’s absurd “gang-rape” claims that fell apart under scrutiny.

Predictably, the limelight-loving Avenatti refused to be gracious in defeat, firing off a series of angry tweets. Just hours after losing his case, Avenatti filed a notice of appeal.

Still, the damage was done to Avenatti’s reputation as a pitbull lawyer who could deliver big wins for his sketchy clients.

Even Trump-hating CNN pundit Jeffrey Toobin called the dismissal of Stormy Daniels‘ defamation lawsuit “a complete win” for President Trump and a huge loss for Avenatti.

“Today is a complete win for the president, including a grant of attorneys fees — which is a particular slap in the face to Stormy Daniels and Michael Avenatti,” Toobin told CNN (video below).

Here’s another hilarious footnote for anti-Trump liberals: They’re paying Trump’s legal fees!

Boom!
