Reporter shouts question at Kid Rock about Jeff Sessions as he strolls into WH, instantly regrets it

Kid Rock is at the White House and is not playing political games with reporters.

Captured on video walking up to the White House Thursday, the 47-year-old musician was met with a shouted question by a reporter.

“Kid Rock, should President Trump fire Jeff Sessions?” the off-camera reporter asked as the singer made his way to the West Wing.

“He should fire you,” the singer quipped without missing a beat.

The “Born Free” singer, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, arrived for the signing of legislation on royalties for artists by the president, called the Music Modernization Act.

The rock star’s mic drop moment had Trump fans cheering and the haters … well, hating.

Umm, no. He’s a music artist — with albums. It makes perfect sense that he’s there.

No clue.

Kid Rock was one of several other artists at the ceremony, including the Doobie Brothers guitarist Jeff Baxter, MercyMe, the Beach Boys’ Mike Love, Craig Morgan, John Rich, and Sam Moore, according to Variety.

Kanye West was expected to have lunch at the White House though Trump did not call his name during the ceremony, Variety reported.

In a short speech at the signing ceremony, Kid Rock told Trump “there’s a whole lot of people in this country that do give you a lot of credit for everything you’ve been doing for this country.”

According to White House spokesman Hogan Gidley, the lunch with the president, which was to include Kanye West as well as White House senior advisers Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump and football great Jim Brown, was to be “centered on President Trump’s historic work to benefit all Americans such as urban revitalization, the creation of Opportunity Zones, new workforce training programs, record highs in African-American employment, the creation of manufacturing jobs, ideas from his meeting with African-American pastors, potential future clemencies, and addressing the massive violent crime surge in Chicago.”
