Talk about divisive times, Rep. Paul Gosar’s own brothers and sisters have come out in support of his Democrat opponent, even cutting an ad for the candidate.

Turns out, blood is not thicker than today’s political waters, with the siblings choosing George Soros over their own flesh and blood, as seen Saturday when one of Gosar’s sisters, Jennifer, appeared on CNN to say she took exception to her brother’s rhetoric, which she characterized as coming from a “place of hate and divisiveness.”

Gosar, a Republican representing Arizona’s 4th Congressional District, has a total of nine siblings, with six of them appearing in a scathing ad from Democrat David Brill.

“It is helpful to be able to speak to a wider audience and I appreciate the opportunity,” Jennifer Gosar told CNN anchor Anna Cabrera. “To answer your question, how did it come about, Paul’s political rhetoric in the last probably year and a half has gone from to me conservative into a place of hate and divisiveness.”

The sister cited the congressman’s “cruel” take on Soros as an example.

“My siblings and I, a number of us, wrote a letter in response to his comments on Vice News alleging that George Soros and the Charlottesville neo-nazi demonstrations were somehow connected to the left and accused Mr. Soros of collaborating with the Nazis, which is false,” Jennifer said.

“That is cruel and we didn’t feel that was at all in the realm of fair or appropriate, so we all, those of us that felt inclined signed a letter,” she added. “It was then published in some Arizona newspapers, it got a little bit of national attention. And since then, Paul’s rhetoric has continued to be further divisive, to use false information, and to be hateful.”

The GOP lawmaker provided CNN with a statement that said his siblings are “angry” Hillary Clinton supporters suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.

“Those of my siblings that chose to film ads against me are all liberal Democrats who hate President Trump,” Gosar said. “These disgruntled Hillary supporters are related by blood to me, but like leftists everywhere, they put political ideology before family. Lenon, Mao, and Kim Jong-un would be proud.”

Not that he didn’t have empathy for his misguided brothers and sisters.

“Not one of my siblings lives in Arizona and my opponent’s policies are out of sync with what Arizona wants and the country needs,” Gosar continued. “I hope they find peace in their hearts and let go all of the hate.

“To six angry Democrat Gosars, see you at mom and dad’s house!”

When asked to respond to her brother, Jennifer said it was “a small statement,” and claimed their opposition to him wasn’t driven by partisan politics, but by a stand for “integrity and decency.”

The hypocrisy of doing an ad for his opponent being Exhibit A to the fact that they are indeed liberals.
