Joe DiGenova shut down a white-collar criminal defense attorney who seemed to find humor in Democrat tactics to derail Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the US Supreme Court.
The former US Attorney from the District of Columbia responded to a question from Fox News’ Laura Ingraham on why Democrats “want this to drag out,” referring to antics to seemingly stall the vote to confirm Kavanaugh.
“Is it for dramatic effect? Are they really searching for justice?” the Fox News host asked on “The Angle” Thursday as liberal hack attorney Scott Bolden cackled in the background.
“No, no, no. This obviously is a fraudulent exercise in delay,” DiGenova replied as Bolden continued giggling off-camera.
“Scott, please, please, okay? This is not a joke! We’re talking about the Constitutional confirmation process which has been disgraced by two…” DiGenova continued until Bolden interrupted.
But the former federal prosecutor was having none of it.
“Scott, Let me finish! Let me Finish!” he angrily said. “Don’t interrupt me! Don’t interrupt me!”
Finally getting Bolden to stop laughing, and interrupting, DiGenova went on to slam Democrats.
“Senator Feinstein and the senator from Hawaii should be ashamed of themselves,” he said, referring to Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono of Hawaii who called on American men to “just shut up and step up” in the light of accusations by women.
“They have traduced and besmirched the United States Senate,” he added. ” This is being done for pure political purposes for delay to prevent a vote, to put it off until after the election.”
The liberal professor accusing Kavanaugh of groping her in high school nearly four decades ago made a series of ridiculous demands Thursday ahead of agreeing to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Among other things, Christine Blasey Ford is asking that she only be interviewed by the Committee and that Kavanaugh be questioned before her.
“The Democrats are entitled to do whatever they want,” DiGenova told Fox News Thursday.
“They are doing exactly that with no concern whatsoever for the Constitution or the Senate,” he added. “Shame on them all!”
