Amid growing anxiety over the eventual outcome of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., posted a late-night tweet Thursday to reassure folks the process is on track.
“Stay tuned!” Graham urged.
Graham’s tweets were in response to President Donald Trump expressing confidence in Kavanaugh at a campaign rally in Las Vegas, calling him “a great gentleman” with an “impeccable reputation.”
And while Trump stated “we’ll have to let it play out,” speaking of the confirmation process, he called Kavanaugh a “highly qualified person.”
“Great job tonight by President @realDonaldTrump in Las Vegas laying out how strong America has become economically and how much safer we are with a strong military,” Graham tweeted.
“The President is dead right about Judge Kavanaugh being highly qualified, the right person for the job, and also right about letting process play out,” he added in a follow up tweet. “Kavanaugh nomination is still on track. Stay tuned!”

Earlier this week, Graham was outspoken about how Judge Kavanaugh, who was hit a last minute accusation of sexual assault 36 years ago in high school, has been treated by Democrats, saying they are “trying to destroy his life.”
In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity prior to Thursday night’s rally, Trump said Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, should be given the opportunity to “have her say and let’s see how it all works out.”
“But I don’t think you can delay it any longer. They’ve delayed it a week already,” he said.
“I say, let her say what she has to say. And let’s see how it all comes out. But they’ve delayed it a week. And they have to get on with it,” Trump added.
Kavanaugh continues to be adamant in denying the accusation leveled against him and has been very vocal about having the opportunity to “clear” his name.

There’s a growing sentiment to just call the vote and get Kavanaugh’s confirmation done, as seen in the reaction to Graham’s tweets.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
Thanks for standing strong beside Judge Kavanaugh, Senator! Time to vote!
