‘What are Dems hiding?’ Grassley turns up the heat with an eye-opening demand for Feinstein

Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, fired off a scorching letter to ranking Democrat Dianne Feinstein demanding that she turn over the unredacted letter from Christine Blasey Ford, the liberal professor who’s accusing Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault.

“My staff has made repeated requests for this document — which has become a significant piece of evidence in Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation process — but your staff has so far refused to provide a copy of the letter,” Grassley wrote (see below).

“I must review the unredacted letter that Dr. Ford sent to you, dated July 30, 2018. I ask that you send me a copy of the original, unredacted letter immediately.”

Chuck Grassley wants Dianne Feinstein to turn over the unredacted letter she received from Christine Blasey Ford in July 2018.

Senator Grassley said sexual assault allegations “deserve serious attention, and those who make such allegations must be heard. They should not be deployed strategically for political gain.”

Grassley scolded Feinstein for sitting on the accusations until the 11th hour in a transparent bid to delay Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

The revelation that Feinstein is apparently the only person with Ford’s unredacted letter also raised a lot red flags.

“You received this letter approximately seven weeks ago. But the contents of the letter were leaked only last week when it appeared the Senate was about to confirm Judge Kavanaugh,” Grassley pointed out. “There were numerous opportunities to raise the serious allegations made in the letter during the course of this nomination process.”

Grassley added: “Instead, you chose to sit on the allegations until a politically opportune moment. I cannot overstate how disappointed I am in this decision.”

Keep in mind that Dianne Feinstein has a history of politically-motivated leaks, as BizPac Review has reported.

Grassley also noted that Christine Blasey Ford has until 10 a.m. ET on Friday (September 21) to say whether she will attend the Congressional hearing.

Chuck Grassley has offered to send people to California to talk to Ford privately. She has refused.

Grassley posted a series of tweets explaining that the Senate Judiciary Committee has bent over backwards to talk to Ford, who admits her memory of the alleged 1983 groping incident is fuzzy.

Specifically, Ford said she doesn’t remember where it happened or when it happened. Attorneys say her testimony would never hold up in a court of law, which is why she never filed a police report.

Christine Blasey Ford’s dubious claims have fueled rampant speculation that her 11th hour accusation is merely a cheap political stunt designed to derail Judge Kavanaugh’s SCOTUS confirmation.

As it is, Ford’s story has been rapidly falling apart. As BizPac Review previously reported, all three men that Ford claimed were at the high school party where the alleged groping incident occurred denied being there.

Republicans have stood uncharacteristically firm by insisting that they will move forward with a vote if Ford chooses not to testify.

Even Senators Bob Corker and Jeff Flake — who previously dragged their heels — say they will vote if Ford refuses to show up and testify on her own behalf.

Similarly, Senator Lindsey Graham slammed the Democratic delay tactics and urged “a committee vote be taken ASAP.”

While Christine Blasey Ford is demanding a “full FBI investigation” before she agrees to testify, legal experts say the FBI has no jurisdiction in a 36-year-old matter.

John Yoo — a former general counsel of the Senate Judiciary Committee and a frequent Trump critic — said it’s a useless political ploy to demand an FBI probe.

“There’s confusion about what the FBI does,” Yoo told Fox News (video below). “The FBI is not conducting a criminal investigation. Even if this happened yesterday, they wouldn’t be conducting a criminal investigation because if this were a crime, it would be under STATE jurisdiction. The FBI wouldn’t have that job.”

Yoo, a professor at UC Berkley Law School, explained: “The FBI is just helping the Senate conduct a background investigation. They’re not out there trying to ‘solve’ a crime. This was 35 years ago. There is no forensic [evidence]. The only stories you need to hear are from Kavanaugh and Dr. Ford.”

Obama and Bill Clinton both opposed illegal immigration. But NOW that’s racist?
