Amid the unfolding drama surrounding the accuser of US Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Fox News’ Laura Ingraham offered some practical “no circus” advice.
Christine Blasey Ford, the woman accusing Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct nearly four decades ago, is now demanding a “full FBI investigation” before she agrees to appear before Congress to testify about the allegations.
Christine Blasey Ford demands a full FBI investigation of 36-year-old claims before she’ll testify before Congress. But (usually weak-kneed) Republicans Bob Corker and Jeff Flake say they’ll move forward with Kavanaugh vote if Ford doesn’t testify. https://t.co/h1q6ENYrVy

Republicans have asserted that they will move forward with the vote on Kavanaugh’s confirmation even if Ford does not appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee, although her attorney told CNN on Monday that her client is willing to testify.
Sen. Dianne Feinstein agreed with Ford’s latest antics, calling for the FBI to “conduct a full investigation” of the claim that decades ago, while at a party in their high school years, a drunken Kavanaugh groped Ford.
The Senate Judiciary Committee should allow the FBI to conduct a full investigation before we hold any hearings on the allegations Dr. Ford has made against Brett Kavanaugh. Holding a hearing without any investigation signals no interest in getting to the bottom of this.

Ford’s lawyer, Lisa Banks, told CNN that the liberal California professor is not inclined to make the appearance before Congress due to concerns over harassment and backlash. Never mind that Kavanaugh and his entire family are now facing just that in the wake of her allegations.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham on Tuesday suggested a solution to the snag.
Subpoena accuser. She must testify. Question Kavanaugh. Do it in closed session. No circus.

The only problem with Ingraham’s proposal is that a “circus” is just what Democrats want as they seek to stall, or derail, the vote on President Trump’s nominee.
The reaction on Twitter seemed to back up Ingraham’s advice and call out the true motives behind the antics by Democrats.
Yep, subpoena the accuser. Also subpoena the witness who was there. Oh wait, you don’t WANT to do that, do you????

If she doesn’t show – just vote!

The witness already said it didn’t happen. FBI investigated Kav 6 times for each government appointment. FBI said they can’t investigate this. Dems couldn’t stop him so they destroy his life with accusations from 37 years ago.

No, Congress should not dance to her tune, either she appears on Monday or vote should go forward on Thursday as scheduled with out further consideration of accusation.

Can’t do that – Dims want a circus ?
— Swedish “Lodestar” Chef (@SwedishChief) September 19, 2018
She wants the FBI to investigate… so they can fill in the details she has represessed? Not their job. By the way, Brett passed 6 in-depth background checks. This is all the left has. Posture. Delay. Deceive. Obstruct. Rinse repeat. Ford is gladly attempting to take 1 for team

Challenge: What recourse is there if the accuser lies to the committee? Zero recourse. Ford cannot be threatened with jail or being fired from the university. In fact, a book deal is probably in the works. Kavanaugh on the other hand, loses everything.

No don’t subpoena her. Then the circus continues with jockeying for timing, upfront investigations etc. She’s been cordially invited to the US Senate. If she declines, then that’s on her.
