Author Stephen King has threatened to “defeat” Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, if she votes to confirm President Trump’s nominee to the Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh.

Presuming to speak for “most Americans,” King tweeted that people are “angry” over how the conformation “is being railroaded through.”

“IF Susan Collins votes to confirm Kavanaugh, and IF she runs for re-election—two bigs ifs—she will be defeated. It would be unwise for anyone to mistake how angry most Americans are at the way this is being railroaded through,” King tweeted.

Senate Democrats, backed by the party’s hard-left base, have fully embarrassed themselves with their antics to oppose a highly respected Judge Kavanaugh.

Thir wild, self-aggrandizing stunts were so bad, even Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the most liberal justice on the high court, complained.

Ginsburg, who was confirmed in 1993 by a vote of 97-3, called the spectacle “wrong.”

Collins, a pro-choice Republican, has been a frequent target of the left’s in the ongoing confirmation process. to include a crowd-funding campaign threatening to contribute more than $1 million to her 2020 opponent unless she votes against Kavanaugh.

An “absolute disgusting” campaign characterized as a “bribe” by Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah.

“Every Democrat should be condemning these antics in Maine— attempting to bribe Senator Collins to vote against Judge Kavanaugh and threatening sexual violence against staffers if she votes for him is absolutely disgusting,” Hatch tweeted, linking to a Wall Street Journal editorial.

The reference to threats of sexual violence is in response to an “incredible offensive” campaign inundating Collins’s office with calls from around the country.

“In one case – and we are going to turn this over to the police, but unfortunately, of course, the person didn’t leave a name or number – but they actually threatened to rape one of my young female staffers,” Collins  told the Journal.

One of her offices received a “three-foot-long cardboard cutout of male genitalia” from unhinged liberal protesters.

Harassment that is “well justified,” according to Democratic U.S. Sen. Chris Coons, from Delaware.
