Spanish-only Miami Taco Bell workers refuse to take English-speaking customer’s order. Yes, in America.

A Florida woman who had merely sought to get a bite to eat Wednesday evening learned firsthand what happens when immigrants refuse to assimilate into their host country.

The unexpected lesson in the realities of non-assimilation occurred in the drive through lane of a Taco Bell in Hialeah, where an employee of the 56-year-old fast food chain Bell refused to speak to her in English, thus making it impossible for her to order dinner.

Watch a shocking video recording of the altercation below:

The video shows local resident Alexandria Montgomery, a black woman, repeatedly telling the unnamed employee that she wants to order food.  In every instance, the employee replies in Spanish, dismissively.

“So you can’t take my order? So you don’t understand what I’m saying?” Montgomery can be heard asking as the video begins. “But you speak something, though …”

“No habla ingles!” the employee replies, though evidence suggests she was lying.

The Miami Herald notes that when Montgomery later asked the if a manager was available, the employee replied in Spanish, “She is in her house sleeping.”

But how did she know what Montgomery had said?

“Honey, I have a car behind you,” the employee added. “Can you move please? I have an order behind you. There is no one who speaks English. This is Hialeah, I’m sorry.”

According to U.S. Census data cited by the Herald, a 2010 census found that 89 percent of Hialeah residents speak Spanish as their first or second language.

The employee can also be seen in the video above grabbing her phone and reportedly threatening to dial the authorities, prompting Montgomery to ask, “I’m trying to order and she telling me I can’t order because she don’t speak English. Who’s wrong? What did I do wrong?”

The employee then put her phone down, which raises two questions: How had she planned to speak with the authorities, and how did she know what Montgomery had said?

The evidence suggests the employee could at the very least understand English but had no interest in taking Montgomery’s order unless she could understand and speak Spanish. It’s as if she expected Montgomery to assimilate into her culture and language versus vice versa.

This lack of assimilation into America’s dominant English-speaking culture was not appreciated by social media users.

Look:

The employee has since been terminated, according to a statement by Taco Bell: “This individual no longer works for the brand.”

As for Montgomery, she reportedly accused Taco Bell of racism in a Facebook comment and linked her followers to the Better Business Bureau.

“Taco Bell in Hialeah racist asf. This lady understood what I was saying but didn’t want to take my order talking bout she don’t speak English. Better Business Bureau,” she wrote.

If she and other English-speaking residents of Hialeah want to end this madness, their best bet would be to stop voting for Democrats, who support open borders and immigration without assimilation. Want to know who opposes both? President Donald Trump.
