After drumming up drama over a secret letter with secret information about an unnamed person related to Judge Brett Kavanaugh, it seems Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s bombshell may be just a nothing-burger.
The the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee announced Thursday that she had incriminating information about President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, revealing that she had turned information over to federal investigators about an unnamed woman from Kavanaugh’s past.

With speculation rampant about what the damning information could be, some suggested that “Kavanaugh may have committed a very serious crime — possibly even a sex crime,” as ThinkProgress’ Ian Millhiser put forth on Thursday.
I have received information concerning Dianne Feinstein. I will not inform you of the nature of this information, the source of the information, or pretty much anything about it. Suffice it to say she eats small children.

But The Guardian reported that a source had revealed some information about the secret letter:
A source who said they were briefed on the contents of the letter said it described an incident involving Kavanaugh and a woman that took place when both were 17 years old and at a party. According to the source, Kavanaugh and a male friend had locked her in a room against her will, making her feel threatened, but she was able to get out of the room. The Guardian has not verified the apparent claims in the letter. It is not yet clear who wrote it.
This is the incriminating information Feinstein is expecting authorities to investigate?
Oh my god. The actual Kavanaugh allegation turned out to be roughly ten thousands times lamer than I already thought it would be. pic.twitter.com/Em7eAZ6Frp

I… I almost refuse to believe this. The Guardian must be wrong. Who refers this to the FBI? How is it “sexual misconduct”???

Sen. Feinstein’s 11th hour smear of Brett Kavanaugh as a 15-yr-old failed. Next stop: pubic hair on a coke can?

Neither the White House nor Feinstsein reportedly responded to a request for comment by The Guardian, and neither did Debra Katz, the attorney who is representing the person who allegedly wrote the letter. Katz, according to The guardian “has been described in media reports as Washington’s #MeToo lawyer.”
Feinstein’s cryptic statement Thursday did little to shed light on the information she deemed worthy of an FBI investigation.
“I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court,” the California Democrat said in a statement. “That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities.”
But if The Guardian’s source is correct, the only thing the stunt has proved is how desperate Democrats are to oppose Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the US Supreme Court.
Best-selling author and commentator Mark Steyn believes Feinstein capitulated to the rabid liberals in the Democratic base and has damaged her own reputation.
“The real battle here Tucker is actually between Dianne Feinstein and the new left. They were disappointed by the big short democrat dinosaurs performance in the hearing room and they want something a little more ANTIFA. A little more Black Lives Matter,” Steyn told Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Thursday.
Meanwhile, The Guardian’s report about the content of Feinstein’s bombshell was met with collective incredulity – and mockery – on Twitter.
“According to the source, Kavanaugh and a male friend had locked her in a room against her will, making her feel threatened, but she was able to get out of the room. ” https://t.co/85gP52yLev

I now grant everyone permission to be glib.

So the N.Y. Times and the Washington post all lied when they falsely accused him of sexual misconduct.

Hold up.
That’s the thing? It wasn’t even about high schoolers hooking up?? https://t.co/macF7BXxxG

Good grief. If true, this is new low in what was already a historically ugly process.

I locked my sister in the utility shed for about an hour when I was about that age. Big deal.

When I was a kid, I put a bucket of water on top of a garage side door and told my sister to come in. It landed right on her head, lol.

This cannot be it. Would the Dems be this horrifically stupid to make themselves look utterly AND completely desperate?!??
