Carter Page believes the ongoing FBI probe is focused on “tearing down all the great things” that President Donald Trump is doing as those in Washington seek their own “personal gratification.”
The former Trump campaign adviser, who was surveilled by the FBI for months after the agency was granted a FISA warrant, spoke with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Monday about the “media leak strategy” that FBI lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page discussed in text messages.
“It’s not about me,” Page said on “Hannity” Monday. “They’re just trying to get to the Trump administration and the Trump campaign.”
Text messages between Strzok and Lisa Page were revealed Monday by North Carolina Republican Rep. Mark Meadows, with one message noting a “media leak strategy” that was sent just ahead of a bombshell report on the surveillance warrants against Carter Page.

People in Washington are “just focused on their own spin for their own personal gratification,” Page told Hannity.
“This is just a way of tearing down all the great things that President Trump is doing,” he said.
Page, who has never has been charged with any wrongdoing in the Trump-Russia collusion investigation, noted that he has a lawsuit of his own pending but doesn’t want the money if he wins.
“I want to fix this terrible thing that [has] happened to our country,” Page said. “It’s just so corrupt right now.”
