Tough guy David Hogg threatens Smith and Wesson. Where to even begin …

Parkland survivor turned gun-control zealot David Hogg never seems to shut up, let alone wise up. If anything, sometimes it feels like he gets dumber by the day.

Case in point: Last weekend he posted a ridiculous threat on Twitter to Smith & Wesson, an American firearms manufacturer that earns almost a billion in revenue annually.

Look, and be prepared to either cringe, laugh or both:

Where to even begin …

First of all, who is Davis Hogg to issue such draconian demands to a firearms manufacturer so vast in its influence that it’s considered to be one of the most recognized brands in the world? Hogg is an 18-year-old teen whose resume contains nothing but a high school diploma. Smith & Wesson, on the other hand, is a 166-year-old corporation!

Second, love and economics? Love is useful for hugs, while economics describes something he knows absolutely nothing about. Particularly the economics of supply and demand, from which one can infer that so long as the demand for guns remains strong, so will Smith & Wesson’s sales.

Speaking of which:

Whoops.

Well technically Hogg is 18, though to be fair, he does act like he’s 16 … if not 12.

Instead of issuing empty threats on social media to successful corporations regarding issues he clearly doesn’t understand, perhaps Hogg should enroll in college (instead of postponing) and get an education. And FYI, sorry, but listening to CNN doesn’t count as an education.

Hogg might also want to consider following the lead of Samuel “Joe the Plumber” Wurlzelbacher, who’s been wisely using his time to advocate on behalf of school classroom safety. Below is a video for “SwiftShield,” a gun safety service that would do far more to stop school shootings than any one of Hogg’s childish ideas:

Once Hogg has educated himself, learned to articulate himself like an adult and proven his worth like Joe, then maybe people will take him seriously. But until, all anyone’s going to do is just point and laugh. Sorry, kid, but them’s the breaks in life.
