Tiger Woods, forced to defend being ‘friendly’ with Trump, won’t be baited: ‘Respect the office …’

Golf legend Tiger Woods refused to be baited into trashing President Donald Trump, saying people should respect the office of the president even if they dislike the occupant.

Tiger Woods: We Must All Respect the Office

“He’s the President of the United States. You have to respect the office,” Woods said at a press conference at the Northern Trust golf tournament.

Woods added: “No matter who is in the office — you may like or dislike the personality or the politics — but we all must respect the office.”

Tiger Has Been Friends With Trump For Years

Woods was responding to a partisan question from a Trump-hating reporter who asked: “I think a lot of people, especially immigrants, are threatened by him and his policy. What do you say to people who might find it interesting that you have a friendly relationship with him?”

Tiger Woods and President Trump have been friends and golfing partners for years, and remain on good terms even after Trump took office.

“I’ve known Donald for a number of years,” Woods said. “We’ve played golf together. We’ve had dinner together. I’ve known him pre-presidency and obviously during his presidency.”

Tiger is of black, Asian, and Native-American descent. So much for the liberal narrative that Donald Trump is “racist.”

Golf Digest Magazine: Trump Is Best POTUS Golfer

Tiger Woods has also played golf with former presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and George H.W. Bush, and the media never tried to bait him into slamming them during their tenures.

President Trump is an avid golfer. In January 2017, Golf Digest magazine hailed him as “the best-ever golfer president.”

The billionaire has a 2.8 handicap, making him one of the best golfers in Washington, D.C., as BizPac Review previously reported.

Barack Obama is also an avid golfer, but his game remains (like his presidency) underwhelming.

That’s odd, considering Obama played almost as much golf as Tiger Woods did during his two terms as president.
