Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has once again proven to be a walking, talking train wreck for the Democratic Party.
The self proclaimed democratic socialist remains a celebrity within the party, which has dubbed her its “future,” but Ocasio-Cortez continues to show that she is not quite ready for prime time, as seen when she rushed to claim solidarity with cab drivers.
…even though her campaign took $4,000 worth of Uber rides, according to Fox News.
“NYC’s fourth driver suicide,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. “Yellow cab drivers are in financial ruin due to the unregulated expansion of Uber. What was a living wage job now pays under minimum.”

“Financial ruin” that her campaign has contributed to, despite a history of critical rhetoric directed at Uber.
Here’s more from Fox News that exposes just how deep the New York Democratic congressional nominee’s hypocrisy runs:
But between April and late June, the Ocasio-Cortez campaign recorded spending nearly $4,000 on Uber for what appears to be 160 rides by its staff, Federal Election Commission (FEC) records reveal.
The payments to Uber ranged from just 59 cents to $82.26 and were filed under “car service.” All the rides were taken in California. There’s no data yet for the months of July and August.
In her home state of New York, Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign doesn’t use the traditional yellow cabs for getting around either.
The FEC records show that the campaign spent nearly $2,500 for more than 90 rides with the so-called ride-sharing startup company Juno that pitched itself as an alternative to Uber for drivers as it offered slightly better pay and an option to accumulate the company’s stock. There’s no data yet for any rides taken by the Ocasio-Cortez campaign between in July and August.
Social media users didn’t waste time highlighting her hypocrisy, while taking her to school on the free market.
Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
Maybe your campaign should stop using Uber.

What is preventing cab drivers from becoming uber drivers? And it us interesting how you criticize uber, yet utilize their services. Can you say typical liberal hypocrite?

Alexandria, you speak with “fork tong”
Return to a community college or s technical school and receive a real education
You make Latinos look DUMB like New Yorkers

This is not caused by Uber, Lyft, Juno, etc. It is caused by your fellow socialist Mayor Bill de Brazio who takes into city coffers every penny he can.
So blame socialism, liberalism, but not the free market.

Ocasio-Cortez is taking on ‘big bad evil Uber’, but uh… her campaign spent $4k on Uber rides!
Typical socialist hypocrite! 😂 https://t.co/8hCRyYyr0b

This is typical solciatist behavior. Do as I say, not as I do. @Ocasio2018 campaign spends $4,000 on @Uber taking advantage of the awesome American free markets, but then decry how it is hurting cabs. She would have gotten rid of digital cameras because it hurt the film industry. https://t.co/haWOvymfbF
