‘Anytime, anyplace’! Geraldo flips out when he learns his lax immigration stance was called out in a major way

Geraldo Rivera is fired up at Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick after he slammed lawmakers, the liberal media and the Fox News corespondent for being “accomplices” in Mollie Tibbetts‘ death.

In an explosive rant on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom,” the Texas Republican unloaded on Democrats and Republicans as well as the “mainstream media” for refusing to discuss or take action over illegal immigration.

Patrick was reacting to the tragic story of Tibbetts‘ murder allegedly at the hands of an immigrant who was in the country illegally.

“On the left, it’s pure politics,” Patrick said Thursday. “They’re playing with people’s lives. Again, American citizens and people who legitimately want to come here aren’t criminals. They’re playing with their lives for politics.”

“You know, again, the CNN, MSNBs, most of the print media, and Democrats are all accomplices in the death of this young girl and the death of everyone else,” he continued, before singling out Rivera.

“Even Geraldo Rivera,” Patrick said. “I’ve never met the guy. Seems like he has a good heart. I saw him on Fox saying, ‘I feel badly about this but…’ There is no ‘but.’ I’ll be happy to debate Geraldo Rivera any time, any place, anywhere on this issue.”

Rivera shot back on Twitter, blasting the GOP politician for politicizing Tibbetts’ death while accepting his challenge to a debate.

Rivera went on to advocate for the “vast majority of the 11-12 million undocumented” immigrants who are “hardworking” and  “otherwise law-abiding.”

In a separate tweet, Rivera accepted Patrick’s debate challenge and suggested the two meet on Fox News’ “Hannity” show – “the #1 show on cable.”

“Enough jingo rhetoric to gain votes rather than heal this wound & fix this problem,” he added.

But for all Rivera’s counter punches at Patrick, it seems many were not riding his “undocumented immigrant” bandwagon.
